Let's be honest... the reason to stay here is because it's affordable. That's about it. The rooms are tiny, and not particularly nice. They are more or less clean and the place feels safe. The people who work here are polite but don't seem to have the tools or systems to do their jobs well. It's kind of like a glorified hostel. As long as your expectations are very modest, you should be fine.

People in past reviews complain about this property a lot. However, I didn’t find any of the negative points to be true. This is a basic hotel/room for sleeping. The WiFi works great, the tv has plenty of channels/options, it’s in a great neighborhood with a lot of food options within a mile or less. I had the single bed room so it was tiny but I didn’t care since I was only in the room to sleep. Staff were all super friendly except one person when I checked out. A bit surly. Otherwise, a great stay overall and you can’t beat the value/price. I’d stay here again.

The District Hotel was just what we needed for an overnight stay in Washington, DC. It was a 20-minute rideshare from Union Station and the Anthem, it was clean and quiet, and the staff was efficient. The building and rooms have not been renovated recently, but they provide all the basic amenities needed for a quick stay. I will stay there again, and will recommend it to friends.

Deposit policy should be changed. Why waiting for 1 week to be refunded for non US-Residents? After 2 weeks, im not refunded. I dont expect foul play. Did i damage any property? If yes, i should have been told before my departure.

Doesn’t have parking lot. Have to looking for parking place by customer, i park in another side in front of road my car towed. 200$ ticket. And the hotel dirty, if you drive don’t live in this hotel

There is a parking lot you can pay for a daily price or monthly price, about a 7min walk away from the hotel. This hotel has restaurants around it. The staff was friendly. Our hotel room was clean, its just a seasoned hotel.

District Hotel is fantastic. I'll be staying there again. Amazing beds, so comfy!! Good showers and bathrooms. Coffee every morning. Great neighborhood and near all the shops and restaurants. Whole Foods is around the corner. It's not a slicked out fancy hotel, but it has everything you need and more. The staff are super nice and the place was clean and tidy.

Perfect for me
When I vacation in DC I am on the go all day and most of the night, so all I need is a comfort bed and a clean bathroom. This place is perfect for me. The worst thing about the hotel is that it is not handicapped accessible. I'll stay there again when I'm in DC.

Nice clean & old world charm
Clean, old world charm (I mean it, this is not a negative). Rooms are small, no gym, but if your are lookong for a great location with shops and cafes nearby around the corner and clean but small rooms and friendly staff, this ia the place. Coffee 24/7 in lobby was nice too. The proce can't be beat. Great proximity to everything.
