My recent stay at Eaton in Washington, DC, was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment I walked in, I was impressed by the hotel’s unique charm and the high standard of service. The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, making me feel welcome right from the start. The hotel is immaculate—everything was spotless and well-maintained, contributing to a very peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. The rooms are a standout feature, especially with the addition of a turntable in each one, which adds a really cool, nostalgic touch. It’s details like this that set Eaton apart from other hotels. The boutique in the hotel is also a gem, offering a well-curated selection of items that are both stylish and reflective of the local culture. One of my favorite aspects of the hotel was the speakeasy bar in the lobby. It’s a hidden gem and the perfect place to enjoy a drink in a cozy, intimate setting. I want to give a special shoutout to Manager Sofia, who went above and beyond to ensure my stay was perfect. Her kindness and attention to detail truly made a difference. Eaton DC is more than just a place to stay; it’s an experience. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting the city and look forward to returning on my next trip.

Eaton felt like home, not your typical hotel stay. Rooms are not luxurious but very comfy, clean, good size and cozy. Staff and service was amazing. Very nice rooftop bar and weekly line up of events throughout the hotel focused on wellness. Would absolutely recommend.

Great location and vibe! We love staying here every time we're in DC. However we were surprised when Allegory closed early the evening we planned on taking clients after a show. This time our breakfast was also disturbed by someone walking in off the street and soliciting. . . Higher visibility for security wouldn't be a bad idea.

Cozy hotel in downtown DC
This is a good hotel in downtown DC that is conveniently located for a trip. The rooms have a much nicer and cozier feel than a traditional hotel which is a nice touch.

This is a clean property with a fun design. It has a great location and a hip design. The art on the walls is fresh. The rooms are small and compact. The bed is pushed against the wall. There is no plug near the bed for a charger or an alarm. The staff are efficient to the point of seemingly not focusing on customer service. In addition, the advertised spa/sauna have limited hours daily and even more limited on weekends. The Expedia VIP benefit is limited and staff describe the reservation as "Third party reservation" rather than "a VIP guest" as suggested by the Expedia program. As a "third party reservation" I was given the smallest room on the floor and a continental breakfast at the coffee shop rather than breakfast at the restaurant. If you need a bed with a pillow, this is comfortable adn efficient place to stay. I highly recommend it. If you are looking for a stay/vacation, another hotel may be a better choice.

Visited one night for a concert
My fiance and I came to the city specifically to see a concert at Capital One Arena. We were only at the hotel for one night, but the room was clean and more than sufficient and every staff we encountered was pleasant. I greatly appreciate that the hotel was a 15 minute walk from the arena and also offers valet service at a fee so we were able to just leave the car with the valet and walk to and from the venue while picking up the car the next morning. I also chose this hotel because they allow pets for free.

Comfortable bed, nice soundproofing, hip events rotating on a weekly and monthly basis, nice staff, record player with records was fun, ability to store luggage, attached bakery, great location; no ice machines so I had to specially request ice for a (small) cooler 2-3x a day. It's an eco hotel, so AC was always set to 68, sometimes this was fine and other times i was sweating. Internet (and TV) went out several times for several hours. Great location for events at the Walter Convention Center.

Our bathroom smelled like sewage, and the handle that switches the water in the shower from the handheld to the overhead was broken so we were stuck using the handheld all weekend. Also had a small issue with the staff and miscommunication. Cute decor and quick walks everywhere so the area was very nice. I just wish we had gotten a different room.
