From the moment we left, we couldn’t have asked for more.
We arrived to be greeted by the owner and she took us to the sitting room, with a roaring fire. Where we were plied with homemade scones and biscuits and a very welcome cup of tea.
Then the husband arrived and took our luggage to the bedroom, which was lush in every way. He even offered to drive us to a local restaurant of our choice and pick us up,but we were exhausted, so we declined.
Breakfast was excellent, homemade farls and soda-bread, local bacon, sausages. Homemade plum conserve, loacal free-range eggs. Fresh fruit and yoghurt, local butter and superb coffee
The finishing touch was, being Easter time, their young six-year old son presented my wife and two little Easter bunnies.
The grandfather opened the automatic door to the main road and made sure our exit was safe and wished us “Safe Home”.
Absolutely delightful.
