It's a beautiful historic hotel. There was minimal traffic in the area when we were there on week days. We enjoyed the river walk.

The hotel is lovely in appearance and has the feel of a vintage hotel. However there are limitations. Upon check in the staff was not particularly welcoming. Didn’t tell us about amenities or the restaurant until we asked. Our room was extremely hot and took a while to reach a comfortable temperature. Our suite was very spacious and bright. Carpet behind sofa had crumbs or food on it. No control over temperature in the room so was challenging to find a comfortable temperature. The fan in the bathroom didn’t work. The gym equipment was antiquated. The location is great and close to a lot of great restaurants and shops.

Great overnight stay!
Great stay as always. Our room this time was a little awkward having tight quarters with the bathroom very close to the bed with double doors which was a little different. Shower was very nice. It was a comfirtable bed. Quiet as always. Love the provided robes. Pool and hot tub were both enjoyable. Very clean facilities. Had a drink in the bar which was good. A great night stay! Front desk was friendly and helpful.

We like the Julien, but we’re disappointed that the shower was lukewarm and the coffee was not replenished after the first day. For the rates they charge, these little things are important and should not be neglected!

I enjoyed my stay at Hotel Julien. It was a very nice hotel and I really enjoyed the Steamboat bar. The bartenders were very nice and welcoming. The only issue I had was the water temperature in the shower wasn't the greatest. Other than that, this was a unique hotel with plenty of character. I'd definitely recommend it to my friends and family!

Very nice, quiet hotel. The hotel resturant has limited hours even on a Friday evening. Same hotel resturant had very slow service for breakfast. Not the waitresses fault, she was waiting on half of the resturant by herself. Must be a staffing issue?

No hot water on Sunday morning. We had a suite on the 8th floor. When you took a cold shower, all the water streamed out of the shower onto the bathroom floor because the shower door was not sealed on the bottom. Really not a fan of cold showers!!

Oct 2024 stay at the Julian
We have stayed at this Hotel in the past - we enjoy coming here for the history, accommodations, comfort, service of the hotel. Our only concern is the hvac system in the rooms, my wife and I like to sleep with some fan noise and cooler temperatures. I went to battle with the thermostat that kept turning on/off the system at its own will/ needless to say we buckled and picked up a fan for the room for comfort. I am hoping that management will take action about our concern, we mentioned this experience at check out. We did find out they had fans to lend out as well- good to hear. We will stay at the hotel Julian again, just hoping they can iron out this concern.

Loved our stay here and the property is gorgeous! Beds were comfy and views were amazing from our room. I did notice in our room (824) that there was what seemed to be a booger on the wall of the shower from a previous guest :/ Also, I thought I dropped my eyeliner underneath the bathroom sink & went to go look with my flashlight and it was absolutely disgusting. Even if it was there, there was no way I would reach under there. Otherwise, staff were super friendly and we loved everything around us to do!
