Went to check in, room key wouldn’t work went downstairs got a new room went to open it and it was dirty. Again went downstairs got ANOTHER. room and then had issues with the shower drain. Overall staff nice but wouldn’t stay here again.

The customer service at this property is awesome! The staff was very friendly and helpful. We stayed in a suite that was very spacious and had a mini fridge and microwave. There is a pool and hot tub as well as an exercise room. The breakfast in the morning had lots of choices including waffles, eggs, sausage and so much more. It was just a short drive to the places we wanted to go in Duluth. There was some uphill and downhill driving which I didn't mind. This is a very nice hotel that was reasonably priced compared to others I checked out.

For a sold out weekend, the hotel was completely unprepared! We drove 8 hours, arriving at 6:30pm only to find out our room was not ready (along with dozens of people waiting in the lobby) due to understaffing. The bathroom available (because we couldn’t get into our room) was covered in water from swimming pool users (kids) dripping everywhere. We were told we would be notified of our room being done and two hours later, no word. It was ready but no communication (probably due to the lobby full of guests waiting on their rooms). The bedding was thin and very polyester-y feeling. Doors all around us slammed shut, waking us multiple times. Even the shower doors were loud. Nothing relaxing or thoughtful about this hotel. To think the room was $265/night is plainly UNACCEPTABLE! I will NEVER stay at this property or any other LaQuinta again.
