Excellent Hotel!
Canal Park Lodge is a great hotel. It was clean, staff was friendly and helpful, and it's a nice-looking hotel right on Superior with excellent views and within walking distance of restaurants and tourist attractions in the area. Plus, the breakfast was good. I highly recommend it.

The front desk staff and the cleaning staff were just fantastic. Cannot say enough good about them. The breakfast was great and so was a coffee. The staff that took care of it during the breakfast were very friendly and efficient.

The only thing that we had a complaint about was the pool was not open when we first arrived but opened later. Also, for the number of guests staying at the hotel, the breakfast seating area is really small.

Another delightful stay-a wonderful hotel for our weekend getaway. Friendly, helpful staff…beautiful common areas to hang out in and enjoy lakeviews or the warm, charming lobby seating area with fireplace…comfy bed…clean and beautifully maintained throughout…delicious hot breakfast…well-stocked coffee-tea station (hot and good-tasting)… we will definitely be back! The first room we got on the first floor smelled really bad like something had died in it. The front desk quickly made new arrangements to another room. It unfortunately smelled like body odour but was tolerable (I didnt want to bother front desk again). It was clean and hallways smelled fine so not sure what was causing the weird smell. Another negative is fridges are small with no freezer and the hot tub was out of order. Place is pricey because of location. They told us we could use the neighboring hotels hot tub but who the heck wants to do that. Positives, breakfast was good, easy parking, nice area in canal park, beds were comfy. Coffee and tea available all day in lounge area. Elevators were fast, laundry facilities were good. Ice machines on all floors which is convenient. Gym facility was very good for a hotel, no broken machines. Lots of staff working which is great to see, this likely means they must treat staff well. Overall more positives than negatives. Would stay here again for the location but would call ahead to ensure the pool area is up and running.
