Love the vibe at The Oliver Inn! Have stayed there a couple of times now and will definitely be back! The only qualm we had with this last visit was that our room never really got warm enough (we visited in early February). We had the electric fireplace running the entire time, but still had to make sure to bundle up before bed. However, the main room space is pretty large and the ceilings are fairly high, so I could see how it would be hard to heat the entire room on only that small electric heater. If visiting in the winter, bring warm clothes and maybe an extra blanket and you will be just fine!!

Very clean, right in the center of downtown Duluth so there was lots to do nearby. Room was cozy and comfortable.

This was our second time staying here so it was a bit easier to understand the various quirks of the building which is part of its charm. Park in the parking garage, try the Wasabi sushi restaurant and visit the speakeasy in the basement. We would have liked an ice machine available but the people at the sushi restaurant were kind enough to give us some.

Beautiful Room, Great Location, Uncomfortable Bed

My husband and I came for a two-night trip to celebrate our December anniversary. The room was far less expensive than the hotels at Canal Park, but we were still within walking distance of Canal Park and Bentleyville. The room was large and beautifully decorated (yellow is my favorite color!). We live in an old farmhouse, so we love buildings with character. My ONLY complaint is that the bed was NOT comfortable and I slept horribly both nights (and a box of tissues would have been nice). Other than that, the stay was wonderful.

Charming hotel in prime location. The coupon for a free beer at the Ratskeller really enhanced our experience as did sushi at the restaurant right there. Would definitely recommend staying there and we will be back.

Beautiful Historic Rooms - Good Value

I absolutely love these rooms and the concept of staying in a historical building. Everything was comfortable and spacious. Great value for the area! Parking is quite clunky having to use the parking garage across the street for the casino, and its a little awkward entering through the sushi restaurant, but worth it for the cute historical rooms upstairs! Wasn't as noisy as I expected considering the location either.

The Oliver Inn is a unique place to stay. We were in one of the hostel rooms and even though it is a shared Bathroom, there were never any issues when we needed to use it. We loved the convenience of the bar on site and the restaurant. The location downtown is fantastic as well. We would definitely stay again. Thanks!
