Great hotel and awesome staff
We stayed at Distinction @ Dunedin for the last 2 nights of the trip. The hotel is modern, clean and centrally located, and the breakfast was great. As our stay coincided with my husband’s 65th birthday, we received a good room upgrade and a little gift that came with a greeting card. The kind gestures were very well appreciated. Our other four friends who had stayed in the same hotel were equally pleased with the hotel and they all slept well and had their clothes properly washed and dried within their own room before their return to home. 5 star to Distinction & Dunedin from all of us.

Had a lovely stay at the Distinction Hotel Dunedin. Quiet, safe and staff were very attentive. Room was very spacious with kitchenette and washing machine and tumble dryer. Breakfast was one of the best I have at stying at a hotel.

It is a beautiful hotel with spacious rooms the beds were the best ones we had our whole holiday. The shower was awesome had great pressure and it had a washer dryer which was a bonus.Parking cost but it is a great rate and easy to get in and out. Can not fault the hotel

This hotel was perfect for our 3 day stay in Dunedin. Good dining options and hotel bar. Room was generous in size and comfortable. Only slight issue was a rumbling noise coming from what sounded like large dryers on our floor until around midnight every night.

Lovely room and comfortable but quite dark!
The hotel was well placed in walking distance of bars and restaurants. Hotel also has its own restaurant. Nice staff and clean hotel. Lovely big and comfortable beds with clean bathroom in rooms. Nice kitchenette with complimentary chocs, cookies and milk. We had a one bedroom suite which was quite dark and dingy to be honest. No light over the seating area at all and the window faces other rooms plus even more rooms to the left of you. No light coming in naturally. We like to read not watch tv all night so wish we had a lighter room.

We enjoyed the room. The bed was comfy, the room warm, and the bathroom immaculate with his and hers vanity's. Very nice. Our favorite routine was to .wake up, hit the well-equipped gym, and go to breakfast at the hotel restaurant. The buffet breakfast was top knotch. And then spend the day sightseeing before catching up with our student son for dinner. Then we would use the clothes washer and dryer to get the gym clothes ready for the next day. The staff are very friendly, respectful and helpful. I think we will stay at Distinction Hotels wherever we are.

The Distinction is always our go to when in Dunedin or Christchurch. It's always a great stay and I would have given it 5 stars across the board however we had a terrible king size bed with a hump in the middle and bad sagging on both sides. Back was killing me when I woke up. I advised reception on checkout and they were going to get it removed. It was so unlike previous stays with them as the beds are usually fabulous. Otherwise everything else was fabulous.
