Enjoyed the quietness and the helpfulness of the staff, facilities were pretty good too. Did not enjoy the parking but that was maybe an age thing!!

I picked this hotel as it was listed as a 4 star. When I compare it to other 4 star hotels, Alexis doesn't in my opinion rate as 4 star, it would rate as a 3 star. The walls are so thin I could hear my neighbours conversation. There are complimentary ear plugs for guests to use, so that says it all.The car parking is terrible. Tiny spaces and trying to get your luggage between cars was a challenge as there are no walkways. Staff were friendly, but I wouldn't stop here again

Really disappointed. Have stayed a number of times in the recent past. The location is great, close to the Central City and bars and restaurants nearby however there are more things at play here. Parking is a big issue. Being able to access the driveway or backing into traffic on the busy main street another. The rooms are adequate but cold in the winter and dimly lit. Beds are passable but by no means comfortable. The rooms are clean but cobwebs and insects can be found if you look for them (or they look for you). Robin, cheerful enough on the surface cannot go for long before she raises an issue with you the customer such as "I should ring ahead" or "if I'd known xyz things would be faster at check in". Sometimes just sometimes the customer should be given a bit of respect. I wouldn't be staying if it were not for convenience and the reasonable tariff. That now I must call into question. If I were you reading this review, I would look elsewhere for better returns

Very cozy room, a small kitchen full equipment can do a simple cooking like fried eggs Super clean house, car park next to the apartment, very convenient. Mattress with hot blanket. Very convenient, centre of city, just walk to grocery, restaurant, ATM machine. Owner has a lovely friendly puppy, during our arrival we played with the dog for 5 minutes. Upon departure, she recommended when our journey to Oamaru, may pass by a fish village restaurant Moeraki Tarven with good food and sea view.

I have been to stay in a few studio units. I found the staff and facilities at Alexis Motor Lodge both offered and fitted in with all my requirements. I will definitely be back and would similarly recommend it to anyone else. I apologise about my delay in dropping off the key. I put in my back pocket thinking I could slip it into a mail box at either of the airports I went through. Not so, it ended up coming all the way back to Hamilton with me. I hope you have got it now up in Auckland. Thank-you Robyn and John.

We stayed a Saturday night at the motel, room was very clean and tidy. Itcwas missing the toilet roll holder but there was a note on a stool explaining this and an apolgy. There was also a note saying the Students can be very noisy through the night and ear plugs were supplied. This was certainly true. Still enjoyed our stay and the restaurant across the road was a bonus. 😀😀
