Mattress on the bed had a hump in the middle, making it difficult to stay in bed. Room was VERY small. Did not look like the photo at all. Hotel has air conditioning on the website, but do not have it available. Would not have stayed their had we known that as room size made it quite stuffy. A cheap pedestal fan was provided but only circulated warm air.

Being shoulder season This topend hotel was same cost as mid range hotels The gym was perfect for serious weightlifters with 50 kg dumbells and Olmpic bar Also has 2 kg dumbells for beginners

Our family of four enjoyed our stay at the Dunedin Scenic Hotel Southern Cross. We had connecting rooms which made it easy to accommodate us (two primary aged children, my mother and myself). Reasonably comfortable beds, spacious rooms, good shower pressure. Only down fall is no sink in the wee kitchenette, so had to use the bathroom sink to fill jug which wasn’t very big. The connection room was locked when we arrived but quickly fixed. Overall a nice stay and we’d happily stay again

A nice safe bet in Dunedin
A nice mid range hotel. Nothing super flash but more than comfortable. Good location, parking on site and super friendly staff, a big shout out to Theodore who went out of his way to look after our group. Great service.

One of the internal sliding windows, which was about 1.5 metres, jumped out of its rails when I was closing it smashed and just about took me out with it, they were so good about it moving us to a superior room, they couldn’t apologise enough, even though I kept saying to the, it’s not your fault these things happen
