Wrong choice of accommodation
We wanted a base close to Edinburgh to enable us to visit our son who lives in the city after our holiday in the Highlands, the price paid was a fair rate for what the property offered but I chose the wrong property, a house located on the other side of the river would have been better. The property interior was modern clean and nicely decorated but it lacks the things that make a stay good, we had to ask several times for the property access code, there are no instructions how to use the ceramic hob, I have a different type of cooker at home and I had no idea how to unlock it and get it to work, there were no TV instructions, we couldn't get the free sat box to work, no wi fi code was left in the house, again another call required to get it, no ability to adjust the heating, pre set and controlled by nest box again no access code unable to adjust times, we stayed when the temperature was 15 degrees which is not a problem but if it had been 3 degrees then a different story. We stayed Saturday night, bad decision, opposite the property is a night club, outside the property is an alley which leads into the town, both night club and alley were busy and very noisy until 3.00 \ 4.00am. This is Ok if you are young, I'm too old to be bothered messing about with things that don't work , instructions would be nice, I left this property thinking wish I had chosen somewhere else.
