Dunkeld family wedding
Plenty of room for the nine people staying.Kitchen facilities great.Crockery settings poor.Only 5 bowls and two small plates for nine people. Only 8 towels for nine people booked. Two bedside lamps not working, had to purchase light globes, one main light in master bedroom not working. All of these things should have been checked.Got in contact with owner. He said 9 towels had been provided…and to plug in the bedside lamps!!!!!

Wonderful house in an amazing location
We really enjoyed our stay - it's a great place to decompress. It's so peaceful and has spectacular views. At first, I was a bit regretful that we hadn't booked accommodation closer to Halls Gap, but after spending a day in Halls Gap with all the other school holiday visitors, we were really pleased to be in such a peaceful place. We also did some really nice walks on the outskirts of Dunkeld. Dunkeld has a few nice places to eat but it's worth noting that the General Store is closed and the petrol station had no firewood so you need to stock up on provisions before you arrive. The kitchen is relatively well stocked, but could do with a few extra items, which we did message the host about as you probably don't notice these things when you don't live in the property. The host was responsive and helpful. Overall we loved our stay.

Our Relaxing Family Farm stay!
We spent 4 days over June school holidays with another family with children aged 5 - 9 years old and they did not want to leave. 'Grace in the Grampians' was so peaceful and tranquil and allowed the kids too reconnect with nature. They spent the days exploring the beautiful farm, collecting firewood, roasting marshmallows by the fire and even got to pat the friendly sheep. The property provided so much room for the kids to play - we took a soccer and football which the kids enjoyed playing in one of the paddocks. Big tip is to take gumboots for all so you can really explore your surroundings especially if you want to visit the sheep paddocks. We saw so much different wild life around the property including kangaroos, emus, possums, kookaburras and even a frog by the pond! The views were breathtaking especially at sunset when we sat around the outdoor fit pit. At night we really enjoyed learning to play the boards provided at the house and were not even interested in watching TV - Complete screen free few days which was great! The indoor fire place worked well too and kept the house warm throughout the night. The house was modern and clean with large bathrooms and showers. There was adequate cooking utensils, cutlery and crockery for both our families. They kitchen has a brand new fridge, microwave and good quality stove. We did a big shop in Hamilton which was only 25 minutes away and have an Aldi, Coles and Woolworths. Coffee and bread from the Dunkeld Bakery was

Beautiful property
This is a beautiful property and we loved our stay. The setting is splendid, with views on Mt Abrupt/Signals Peak. The house has been beautifully renovated, and is very spacious. Communication with Daniel was excellent and we knew in advance to bring towels (remember to bring a bath mat too!). Overall a great property.

Rural and Rustic
This home (Grace In The Grampians) is located in a peaceful rural setting a few minutes drive from the little town of Dunkeld. It is well located for exploring the Grampians, Hamilton and surrounding areas. We enjoyed the lovely views of Mount Abrupt visible from the kitchen, and watching emus and kangaroos grazing in the surrounding paddocks. The house itself is an old farmhouse with a recently renovated kitchen and bathrooms. The bedrooms are quite basic, and in need of some TLC e.g. blinds in the rooms were either broken or missing, and some wardrobes were broken/missing handles. I would also suggest taking a torch as there are no bedside lamps/lighting or bedside tables. As mentioned in a previous review, no towels or top sheets are supplied and the beds only had very thin covers. No extra blankets are supplied. We are glad that we took all of our own linen and some extra doonas as the place got quite cold at night even with the little heaters on. If you are going with a large group, or planning to do lots of cooking we recommend taking your own utensils – there were limited utensils supplied e.g. there were dinner plates and small bowls, but only 4 cups and 2 teaspoons which would be annoying for a larger group. Also be aware that there is no microwave or coffee maker/plunger available. The bathrooms were clean and modern, although there was no hairdryer or extra toilet paper supplied and the hot water system can take a little while to reheat in between showers. There is a large smart tv screen available, but no internet or tv reception (you need to connect via your phone for streaming if your phone is compatible). Mobile phone coverage is ‘one bar’ only & fluctuated. As this home is only a new listing, there are a few little things that will no doubt be addressed in the months ahead. All in all we enjoyed a reasonably comfortable stay in a glorious part of Victoria.

Stunning location! Relaxing trip
Daniel was a pleasure to deal with and everything was easy. The home is in a peaceful and stunning part of the world. Surrounded by beautiful scenery and nothing but the sounds of wildlife it was truly a relaxing trip. With amazing walks and hikes on the doorstep and Halls Gap a scenic drive away we had a wonderful time. The home is spacious with well appointed and renovated bathrooms and kitchen. A lovely farmhouse vacation!!

Quiet Retreat With Excellent Scenery & Wildlife Viewing
Our family had an excellent long-weekend stay as the first guests at "Grace in the Grampians!" Thank you Daniel! The one-story farm home has been recently renovated with a new kitchen & 2 new shower bathrooms. There are original wood floors throughout with an open floor plan in the entry, kitchen, dining, living, & reading rooms. The house has a lovely dining are, 3 comfortable mattresses (1 queen, 1 full, 1 single during our stay), and breathtaking views of Mud-Dadjug (Mt. Abrupt) from the kitchen floor-to-ceiling windows. Also included are a washer & dryer, essential cooking equipment & tableware, a selection of books & family-friendly games. We enjoyed visiting Dunkeld (a great small town with a few restaurants/cafes, an arboretum with walking trails, shops, a museum & regional visitor's center), hiking up Bainggug (Piccaninny), driving an hour to Halls Gap to enjoy the town, then we spent hours at Halls Gap Zoo after checkout. We loved Penhurst Volcanos Discovery Center too! We congregated in the kitchen & patio while watching roos, emu, rabbits, sheep & cows in the paddocks, and saw a possum one night too. One item to note is that presently (March 2023) this home does not provide bedding (sheets, blankets, pillows) or bathroom towels, so bring those with you. Also, the home did not appear to have wifi or receiver/cable feeding media to the television (a blessing in disguise for our family!). We definitely recommend you book Grace in the Grampians!
