Okay for the ferry
A nights stay on way to catch the morning ferry from Dunkirk to Dover. Good fo this
great staff made it easy to check in and settle at this basic but clean hotel. Quiet, comfortable, handy parking and handy access to main routes made this perfect for our needs. For when you don't need more.
The room, though a little small was very clean and there was an excellent, powerful, hot shower. The service was very good indeed, both cheerful and helpful and the breakfast was varied and plentiful.
More than anything else, this hotel is ideally placed for the ferry port - literally five minutes away by car.
We arrived late from the Dunkerque Ferry because we had broken down-1.30 am!! The code system worked to enter the hotel. We were in a 4 bedded room. It was adequate. Clean and well supplied with towels; the beds were comfortable just not so excitingly laid out. The cost was low so we were more than happy. In the morning we had a very delicious breakfast! The children talked about it as being really good! The receptionist was very very friendly, supplying us with refills of coffee and bread. When we were leaving, he was concerned about our welfare and tried to help us with our breakdown problems. The taxi driver in contrast was unfriendly so the efforts the receptionist made were not supported.I have already recommended the position of the Hotel in relationship to the Dunkerque Ferry as not too far away. I would recommend however that you find a way of signposting were you are. The endless "port" signs are extremely confusing and do not help!!
Thank you Marie
This is a low cost hotel suitable for an overnight stay for holiday makers. It is also used by people working nearby. The bedroom is small but comfortable. The buffet style evening meal is restricted to a few dishes but of reasonable quality and unlimited quantity, as you would expect to be provided for men coming in from work. Breakfast was equally adequate.

Good budget hotel
Very helpful and friendly staff. Went for 1 night, stayed for 3! The Polish lady on reception was charming, extremely helpful and always smiled.
Booked the hotel as a stop off after getting ferry to Calais. Didn't arrive till late so didn't meet any staff or see much in way of facilities. However room was modern, clean and tidy. One negative was no hairdryer.

Functional hotel for stop over
Hotel a bit far from any bars or restaurants but ideal for a stop over. Many contractors staying at hotel when we stayed. The member of staff was excellent and very polite and explained all. Hotel has bar that closes at 10pm and a buffet type restaurant. 17.50 euro for three courses. half price for children, you can choose from one course to two courses or three.

Really good hotel for a one night stop over
We chose this hotel as a cheap one night stop over following a late ferry over from England. The hotel was perfect for this but would not be great for an extended stay. The beds were comfy but some of the bedding was a little dirty. Staff really friendly.
Conveniently located just off the A16 this was a perfect place to spend the night before crossing back to UK after a long drive through Spain and France. The hotel provides an adequate level of accommodation and a friendly buffet dinner and breakfast. There is nothing within walking distance but requiring just food and a bed as we did this was OK. This is a real dog friendly hotel and I would stay here again
We had booked for 3 adults and one infant but as we were one person less, we asked if the room could be altered and it was all fine and made a little joke out of it to humour us! All facilities were accessible and clean.

Did it's job
the place was good and comforatable. the breakfast was fantastic! it was a little out of the way though and once reception closed at 10 p.m. there was almost no way of getting in. a pizza man hooked us up with entry and then we waited til somebody randomly showed up to help us out. overall happy though
Small hotel but welcoming. Check in was handled well. Rooms are small but fine for a short stay. Unfortunately restaurant was closed so had to go out to find dinner. Breakfast was fine, good choice of buffet items and the chap running the service was superb. Two severely handicapped French people were looked after like a king and queen - had their bread buttered and kiwi sliced with pleasure. well done.
We stayed at this hotel to be close to the Calais port. It served it's purpose. Breakfast is an additional fee, but there is a decent selection of food in the buffet. Rooms are pretty spartan, furnished with beds, pillows, a cheap desk and a small television. The beds were comfortable, but the pillows needed to be replaced. The room could also have used a fresh coat of paint as the walls were rather dingy. The ensuite bathroom was adequate with a toilet, sink and small shower. Our bathroom did noot have a tub. The walls are very thin. We would probably use the hotel again for an overnight stay to be near the port because of the price and location.
Overall the hotel should be viewed more as a convenience for long distance travellers waiting for the early morning ferry to the UK. It is not designed for luxury nor is it situated in an attractive area where you can spend the evening socialising or having a meal - just a place to get your head down and this it does well.
Staff are extremely friendly and helpful and both we met spoke sufficient English to answer our concerns.
We have only thee comments. The first is that the area that doubles up as a Bar is really the breakfast area thus not at all cosy enough to be considered as a Bar. Second the layout of the toilet is such that larger persons may find it difficult to access some of the essential fittings required by nature. Finally, the area in which it is located is very industrialised and a walk during the evening stay should not be considered at all.
We will be happy to stay again at the hotel if we have to catch the early morning ferry back to the UK as the journey time to the docks is approximately 14 minutes and the roads are quiet but for evening entertainment and dining or a walk on a good day a drive into Dunkirk is necessary.

Tired but convenient for ferries
It was difficult to find this hotel from the map provided. It has seen better days in terms of furnishings which were worn and basic. The beds were small and not very comfortable. On the plus side the man on the front desk was very friendly and helpful. We chose this hotel because it was near the ferry port at Dunkirk and once we had good directions it was very easy to get to the ferry for a morning crossing to Dover.
