THE COTTAGE
‘Elizabeth on Crown’ is a colonial gem and is quintessential-vintage Harbour Island, sitting in the very heart of Dunmore Town. The original ‘Abaco pine’ wooden frame still wraps its outer walls-a tribute to its loyalist architecture. The cottage has been restored with modern luxuries and outfitted with an eclectic mix of dis' and dat', old and new, local art works, re-purposed furniture and handcrafted beds.
YOUR HOME AND SPACE
The kitchen has all stainless steel appliances, with cooking tools and dining ware. Here you’ll find a full washer and dryer set for getting the sand and salt out and a simple pantry for stashing the goods. The dinner table and dry bar are just over.
The living space is designed for lazy days. Sit and read one of our library chosen books, or binge watch your favorite Netflix shows on our smart TV or explore the complete Apple Music store on the smart speaker, it’s up to you.
THE ROOMS
There are two bedrooms downstairs, sharing a jack and jill bathroom. The master suite is upstairs just past the kids room (to access the master bedroom, you’ll pass through the kids room).
OUTSIDE PATIO
Evening salutes and candle lit dinners under the stars, gather with family, old friends, new friends and fire up the grill.
THE ISLAND
Harbour Island is only 3 miles long, yet offers some of the best vacation memories. You can spend hours on our pink sands beach lounging in the sun…when you’ve had just about enough sun you can take, grab a drink from one of the hotel bars just up the dune or carry your own thirst quenchers from the local wines and spirits outlets or the Pigly wigly food market. Once you’ve re-hydrated, ride the beach trotting horses with Marty. Their names are Star Boy, Tex, Briland and Princeton.
Boutique shopping stores, fun quirky pubs and chicken shacks dot the island. Fine dining here has no limit, so create your list and get it done. Visit the ‘Lone Tree’ at Girls Bank and try some conch salad while you’re at it. Join our vendors at the farmers market on Wednesdays and be sure to visit the library, it’s an historical sight…The ‘Sir George W. K Roberts Public Library’ is the second oldest library in The Bahamas.
Down at the harbour, you can hire a small boat to take in the bay’s crisp salty air, jet ski, paddle board, snorkel, bonefish or fish for snappers and groupers on a charter.
BREAKFAST
Enjoy complimentary breakfast at our favorite coffee shop and smoothie bar ‘COCOA Coffee House’. Italian espressos, coffees, fresh juices, power smoothies, acai and pitaya bowls, avocado toast and more…. Welcome to our little Harbour Island.
