We have the perfect vacation cabin for families, couples, or just good friends!
Partial Views in each room, a covered deck, and walking distance to the shoreline. And, Avery Place has AIR CONDITIONING : )

We are situated in a friendly area of Vallecito Lake known as the deep end with a short walk to lake access. Our Guests are supplied with a Paddleboard, Oars, Jackets, and fishing Poles at the Cabin, and a Canoe down by the lake! Avery Place is a lakeside cabin with a short walk to the water's edge.

You are responsible for your family's safety- "At your own risk". If you choose to participate in any of these activities and use the lake trail - you do so at your own risk.
Avery Place is a roomy (1120 sq. ft.) 2-story cabin nestled in the pines & has all the amenities. Dine under the covered decks, or relax indoors with a fire.

The cabin offers 2 king-size beds on the second floor, and a full-size pull-out couch on the first floor that can accommodate two small persons with an additional $30 linen fee, and there is also a play crib.
The master bedroom has a private bathroom & the second bedroom has a hallway bathroom.
The cabin is nestled in the pines and has all the amenities needed during your stay.
Dine under the covered decks, or relax indoors with a fire.
The cabin has a large covered patio with plenty of furniture and a charcoal BBQ for fresco dining. Inside, it is roomy and styled with comfortable, newer furnishings. The living room has seating for six and a handsome stone fireplace. As a note, the ceiling beams in the living room area can be low in some areas. There is a half bath on the first floor and air conditioning. Our sunny kitchen has the dining area off it and seats 4-persons with window seating.
Free Wi-FI, Netflix and DVD movies to watch on the TV.
Smoking is not allowed in the cabin but we do have a dispenser on the patio. The cabin is nicely stocked with linens, cleaning supplies, personal care products, and all amenities to cook with. Please reach out with any questions about these items.

Our small neighborhood has many majestic trees and because of this trash companies cannot use their hydraulic lift to pick up containers, all cabins use dumpsters on the main road and guests are responsible for taking their trash out.

To ensure all guests have the best experience, upon your arrival, I will try to meet with you to personally provide information on the cabin, neighborhood, and any related information you may want about the area to ensure your time at the lake is a success. One week before your stay, I will reach out to you and let you know the location of the keys, helpful tips on parking, and finding the cabin in case you arrive before me. I live in the area and am available 24/7 with any questions or concerns you may have during your stay.

Weekend getaway
Rene was an amazing host. She always kept us up to date on our upcoming trip. She was full of good tips on arrival and how to find the property. The cabin was perfect for our trip and it was full of the little things you need in the kitchen. Would highly recommend booking with one of her properties. The cabin and location were great for the down time we needed. It was also a great central location to go out to Pagosa, Durango, and Messa Verde from. The lake is beautiful and the cabin is not too far from the doc with a good selection of boats to rent for a beautiful time on the lake. The host was very helpful and had great communication for all of our questions.

The cabin was good and comfortable:). Rene was very helpful and the checkin was a breeze. She told us of some wonderful places to check out! The only suggestion that we had was to purchase a new router for the TV, or a more reliable service. We didn't go there to watch TV; however in the evening we wanted to watch the news. The TV would constantly buffer throughout the evening, so watching anything was quite difficult. Overall we enjoyed our experience in Vallecito Lake, "Little Valley" and the Avery cabin. Thanks Rene for all your help!!

This cabin was perfect for our family of 4. The cabin stayed cool even with higher than average temps in the area. The lake was a just a quick walk away and my husband caught rainbow trout from the shore. The kids loved playing in the water and it was great to have a home base to come back to after visiting with family and friends.

The cabin host was very attentive and made sure everything was perfect. The cabin was extremely clean, and very nice- Comfortable beds and furniture, kitchen supplied with everything we needed. We enjoyed the quiet getaway, unplugged from WiFi and TV, and had a very relaxing stay. Loved viewing the sunrise over the lake right from the bedroom window!

Great Cabin!
The cabin is beautiful, comfortable, and stocked with everything we needed. We came to ski and enjoyed Durango’s ski slope, Purgatory, and its proximity to the cabin. The fireplace was a gem after hitting the slopes during the day and coming back to relax with a fire. Our host was very friendly and extremely helpful to share tips on activities in the area. We didn’t want to leave and plan on this cabin for our mountain getaway! We can’t recommend this cabin enough! Our stay was during spring break and we were able to ski the slopes during the day and come back to a fire in a great stone fireplace. There was an ice fishing tournament while we there but we didn’t have enough time this trip to check it out. Rene was very prompt with any details asked, we will definitely be back!
