Charming house and small paradise of greenery

Old mill, the house is located in a truly exceptional mid-mountain environment. A river, which is crossed by a pretty stone bridge, crosses the vast property of 5ha including a part in forest. If you are a fisherman, do not hesitate to bring your equipment, the river is home to beautiful trout!
The rooms to be lived, renovated, clear and cordial open on superb points of view on the mountain or the river. The house is large and offers spaces adapted to each: 4 bedrooms but also dining room, living room and library.
The rooms all have very recent bedding and very good quality.
Room "Pastel" (20 m2): double bed with an old wardrobe, 1
chaise lounge, 2 windows and 1 balcony
Room "4 Riquets" (20m2): 4 single beds, 2 bunk beds, 1 dresser, 2 windows
Room "Bernicot" (15 m2): 1 double bed, wardrobe / wardrobe, 2 windows
Room "Jeannette" (15m2): On the ground floor with 1 double bed, 1 wardrobe / closet, 1 window overlooking the river
Bathroom upstairs: foot bath and toilet
Downstairs bathroom: walk-in shower and WC
On the ground floor, the entrance opens onto a large dining / living room. A large original fireplace, dug into the stone houses a stove that allows for good outbreaks in winter
The library overlooks the living room and brings together many books, TV and board games
The kitchen with all appliances is new (gas stove, hood, oven, refrigerator, microwave) has a dining area
The terrace, a large parasol and a barbecue allow you to have lunch outside, on the banks of the river on sunny days.

WE DID NOT WANT TO LEAVE….
Our stay was perfect! The home and surroundings were stunning and serene. Located in a very tiny village, it gave us a feeling of security and peacefulness. (We are two 77 year old ladies, friends since we were 10). The home was better equipped than most personal homes……there was nothing we could not find! Plenty of linens, great beds, charming decor. Many town and sights within a hour’s drive. Carcassone, Albi, Mirepoix, Lautrec. Exceptional stay. The hostess Maryse and her husband couldn’t have been more helpful and delightful! Thank you.

Perfect destination for our family reunion
The old mill was a perfect destination for our family reunion. It is an exceptional property, fully renovated and exquisitely decorated, minutes away the medieval towns of Sorèze and Revel. The house is orientated to the South, flooding the rooms with light during the day. It is significantly larger than it appears on VRBO pictures. We particularly appreciated the comfort of the perfectly appointed bedrooms with high quality beddings, the large kitchen and family/dining room that enabled us to cook and entertain, the separate library/TV room for quiet moments, and an eclectic collection of books all around the house. The house has picturesque surroundings including a stream (“Le Sor”), a stone bridge, woods, and a large field for outside activities and walks. Maryse was a terrific host. She was very responsive and provided us with excellent recommendations for all the local delies. Must-see nearby attractions include the museum of Dom Robert in Sorèze, the belfry of Revel, and the bassin of Saint-Ferréol supplying the Canal du Midi.

A stunning home in a picturesque setting
We had the most wonderful stay in Durfort. Jean and Maryse are excellent hosts and presented the house beautifully. They provided everything you would need with thoughtful touches. The home is beautifully decorated and the beds are extremely comfortable. The most special part of this home is it’s setting. It is in a valley just 200 meters from the artisan village of Durfort. There is a river running through the garden which is magical and provided the setting for some memorable lunches. We will definitely be back.
