Fully furnished and equipped 650 square foot apartment with Queen size bed and sleeper sofa (also Queen size); accommodates 4 adults. Full kitchen with stove, all utensils and dishes, refrigerator and microwave. Beautiful, Tiled bathroom with unique lighting. Flat screen (50 inch) smart TV with cable and Netflix, robust wi-fi. Nice area and conveniently located near Shenandoah National Park. The downstairs apartment was very clean and quiet except for the footsteps we heard past midnight every night (which didn’t really bother us because we are night owls). We had everything we needed for preparing meals, but we did struggle a little bit with the mini fridge and used coolers as back up. Overall, a nice place to stay and we would definitely consider staying there again if we are back in the area.

Basement apartment
Overall I am pleased with my stay. The location was very close to the airport and convenient to Charlottesville and the Shenandoah National Forest. Space was ample for one person or a couple. Kitchen was well stocked with dishes and necessities. Lots of clean towels and linens. It is a basement apartment so it is damp and musty which is to be expected in a basement. The footsteps overhead are quite loud but otherwise it is a quiet location. Stairs outside are a little steep and it is not wheelchair accessible.

Great little spot!
Great accomodations for 2 people with the spacious open concept floor plan. Will definitely book again as the price and location were great for us. As per other reviews, we heard footsteps a couple of times, but nothing that annoyed us. In fact, we let out a cheer watching the hockey game which they definitely heard, and realizing how loud we were, went into quiet mode the rest of the stay. Super friendly hosts.

Weekend relaxation didn't happen
We might have been better prepared for our trip had we known the apartment is below the owners. We left at 2am for a hotel because my husband couldn't sleep. He tried for a few hours but the night was spent listening to whoever was crossing the floor upstairs. This was every few mins. We tried for a while until my husband had had enough. This was supposed to be a weekend away for him to relax and not worry about anything. The last thing we expecting was to drive for 2 1/2 hours after working all day and then, be up all night. It would have been a huge plus to know that this rental was someone's basement. They should've put a picture of the steep steps you go down in order to get to the basement. I wasted money on a spot we never would've rented had we known. And then had to double the money spent on another location. Definitely did not turn out the way we had planned. We also didn't meet the owners. A guy came outside when we pulled in to tell us where to park and where to go. There was no other communication after that, even after we left and didn't go back.

Nice stay
A lot of thought went into the design of this basement rental. The accommodations were very nice. The place was slightly musty, but we arrived a day after the area had had torrential rainfall. Wonderful attention to detail, with books and dvds for you to enjoy. A shout out to the owners as they want to be sure you have a great stay. Thanks!
