"Really lovely hotel - very friendly welcome and help with the parking app. Beautiful reception and bar area, with a cosy seating area for enjoying a cuppa or the buy one get one free in happy hour. A very happy blend of old building with modern facilities. Our room (no 18) was very comfortable and had views out over the fairy-light lit patio area - pretty at night. Lovely clean and smart bathroom. Breakfast was very nice (continental and/or English) set within a beautiful dining room. All very convenient too for walking around such a beautiful and interesting city. "

The beds were comfortable although, in my opinion, one of the the two singles in the second bedroom was more suitable for children than adults. Overall the property was well equipped apart from the lack of a tea towel. The separate bathroom would benefit from a non-slip mat in the bath for taking showers."
