This hotel has basic accommodation by today's standards and appears to be in the middle of renovation. The pool and some sections of the hotel were closed. The rooms we stayed in seemed to be recently renovated but obviously done so a budget. Paint, bathroom sinks, beds, furniture, and flooring seemed new. Some little things not working: bathroom fan, smoke detector seems to have been tampered with, sink slow to drain, etc, but the staff took note. Tub was not renovated and was old. My wife was not impressed and cleaned everything with disinfecting wipes. However, the place still had rooms while others were sold out and the price was competitive enough for me to bite. The bedding seemed clean, and beds were acceptably comfortable. Breakfast was disappointing if you want something other than carbs, but perhaps better than nothing. The single thing that keeps me from considering staying here again was the tremendous smell of pot smoke in the hallways. Folks were obviously partying in their rooms and the hotel staff did not seem to enforce their no-smoking policy. Felt like we were running the gauntlet every time we headed down the hallway to our room. Staff were friendly though, especially the cleaning staff (hmmm), who were generous when asking for extra items like towels and shampoo. So, like I said, this place is basic accommodation and the staff is trying, so it may be acceptable in a pinch if you are frugal and your expectations are in check.
