Liked that it was very cosy, very comfortable bed, exceptionally helpful and polite staff. Liked the dining room and bar areas and the open fires. Impressive to see the pool and tennis courts. Very comfortable and relaxing stay and would definitely go back. Wasn't expecting nearly as much as it delivered. Small constructive criticisms: shampoo is in a container that is inaccessible from the bath; be good to have some loose soap for use there. The exterior (and some interior areas) could do with redecoration - peeling paint etc. However great venue.

We found the grounds and communal areas lovely. Staff were friendly and helpful. Our family room was really spacious and my children and I enjoyed the pool and spa facilities.

Lovely hotel, really impressive building, close to train station that takes uou to the heart of Edinburgh. We really enjoyed our stay and the swimming pool and the steam room. I would definitely recommend.

Stayed for two days. Room key didn't work a couple of times, had to walk down the stairs to get it fixed. Overall, nice environment, enjoyed the quiet. Swimming pool, spa, sauna and gym all worth it.
