During our first night, half of the building, including our room, had no power. This meant we couldn’t charge our devices, which was particularly inconvenient given our short two-day stay. When we raised the issue, we were advised to sit in the hotel lobby to charge our devices — hardly an acceptable solution when you're on limited vacation time. We were provided with an email address for the manager, but after sending two emails and a follow-up, we received no response. The lack of communication and accountability from management was incredibly unprofessional and deeply disappointing. While the space itself was lovely, the hospitality was lacking, and the experience left us stressed during our time in Edinburgh. Fortunately, we were headed to the Highlands and didn’t have to stay long. For a property to ignore guests during a power outage — even for one night — is simply unacceptable. As a frequent traveler, I would caution others: if something goes wrong, don’t expect meaningful support or communication from this establishment.

Very noisy , when you book a room here , most likely they will assign you a basement room , even after I request to move to the upper floor , my request was ignored by the staffs . I hear the door slamming very loud at night at 11 am when I tried to sleep . And the noise came back again at 6am non stop , as they have facilites in the basement for their staffs and most of these noise are made by their staffs , the door opening and closing almost every 3 minutes that I have to tell the staffs to be quiet however it didn’t stop until I check out .

The hotel was overall a very good stay. I came with my dog. The pet fee is £15 per night, which is reasonable, however, it did not get any dog treats or dog bed. I tried calling multiple times to let them know I was bringing a pet, but could not get through. When I arrived, they said their phone lines are down and email is better- fyi. The room itself was clean and very modern, a medium, comfortable size. Although they do not clean the rooms daily, I had more than enough towels and essentials. The room has a coffee maker, tea, and full kitchen which was great. The location is quick 5 minute walk from the city center which was good. Perks: AC and modern room Challenge: could not call ahead. But overall very good stay.

It’s a nice place to stay with peaceful and beautiful environment. The hotel room is clean. One thing to improve is the shampoo and bath gel are running out without replacing. We had to go to lobby to ask for refill. It’s better to check and ensure all filled before guest check in.
