There was a fan outside the room that was very noisy. There was a chemical smell in the building, maybe paint or such. The renovation works meant that going into and out of the property was a labyrinth.

Stayed a few times now and it’s always the same issue I find is the noise. Not just normal noise but every floorboard in the flat creaked and cracked so loudly I was worried I’d be the annoying one to other people.

The apartments were great. Nice space and the staff were very courteous. The gym access was a plus. Walkable distance to nearby attractions without being too close to the main tourist hub.

Over our two days here, we had an incredible time. The property's location is suitable distance from the majority of Edinburgh's well-known attractions. Our room seemed brand new because it had been thoroughly cleaned. Also, the staff is really helpful and courteous. Don’t keep your hopes too high. This is basically a university accommodation converted hotel, so sound insulation is quite bad. The TV was also not working.
