First time? This is a great place to start.
The Place was a comfortable stay for my husband and I. As other reviews mentioned, there are no lifts in this hotel, so pack lightly! Our room was large and comfortable. If this is your first time, keep your keycard in the slot by the door to "power" the room. Every plug has a switch, including the TV. The Place is close to a lot of great eats and shopping, but we chose this specifically because it was close to the Edinburgh Bus Station to catch our 7:45am 1-day bus trip with Rabbie's Tours. First timers, this is THE PLACE to stay!

The staff were amazing and so kind and helpful! They gave us great suggestions on where to eat and what to do. We tried a few of the restaurants they suggested and they were fantastic. We added on breakfast each morning at the hotel - and it was just as equally delicious and a great start to our morning each day. Plus they make great drinks at their bar if you want a nightcap before retiring for the night! We can’t say enough good things - we had an amazing stay :)

The lady at the front desk was able to get me checked in early so I could nap after my long sleepless flight, which I really appreciated. My room and public areas were very clean and modern. Water temperature was slow to heat up and then got too hot and then was slow to cool down. Beds could have been more comfortable. Location is very convenient - short walk from a tram stop and the bus station, as well as several sites.

Nice place in central Edinburgh
Very nice, friendly staff. No lift, but knew that when booking. Communication with the property was good, let them know that I had mobility issues, they assured us a room with minimal stairs. Very close to trams/transit. Food was good.
