This was our first experience with Wilde and loved it so much that it will be our go to hotel for all future stays in Edinburgh and look forward to exploring other Wilde properties! Book a castle view room, you will not regret it. Check in was a breeze, the room truly feels like an apartment, and although we didn’t get to enjoy breakfast because we were on a tight schedule the spread looked and smelled amazing! If you’re wanting to stay in the Grassmarket area, this is the place to be! The property is located on a whisper quite street beneath Edinburgh Castle and a convenient walk to all the major landmarks in the area, delicious food, and endless shopping.

The perfect place for us
This was the PERFECT place for us to stay here in Edinburgh. My only regret is that we didn’t stay longer because our two nights flew by. We loved: -The friendliness of all the staff -being able to check in early -the amenities of our room (LOVED being able to cook our own meals) -access to the laundry machines -great location for getting arrived the city Thank you for such a wonderful stay! We’d love to return someday!

This is a wonderful location right below the castle. Every morning we woke up to a gorgeous view! Peaceful street, one block from all of the Grassmarket shops and restaurants, and it was so easy to walk everywhere in town. The rooms were clean and comfortable, the staff was friendly and helpful. It was a pleasure to stay here and we would definitely stay there again!

Good, great location, sadly too noisy this time
We have stayed before, v nice property with excellent facilities and in a great location. This time we were on a ground floor, one bed apartment with a bit of a castle view. Unfortunately, there was a long queue for check-in (after 3pm), and when it finally was our turn, our room wasn't ready. We waited 40 minutes, we weren't offered a drink or any updates during that time. It looked like the staff, who were very friendly and helpful otherwise, were simply outnumbered and each check in took very long. Our room was fine as usual, but super noisy this time. I was awoken by the noise upstairs and ultimately had to leave early in the morning and spend time in the reception area instead of in the apartment as I simply couldn't stay with the stomping of feet above us. The noise caused things to rattle and reverberate, even though it seemed like it was only one person running around above us - perhaps more a noise insulation & furnishing issue. The use of the shower next to us was very audible, too. We haven't experienced this before at the same location. The food, the breakfast and the facilities were very good. All the staff were friendly.

My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights and overall really enjoyed our stay. The room was beautiful with an incredible view of the castle. The area was phenomenal in terms of food options & activities. Our only issue during our stay here was we noticed on our first night there the blinds weren't closing (they're electronic). We told the hostess downstairs around 7pm and asked if someone to come fix it and she said someone would be there in 30 minutes. We waited until 8:30 and sent a whatsapp message to the number they gave us and just got an automated acknowledgement back. We waited until 9:30 and my husband had to go back downstairs to get an update. The man working the front desk at the time was so helpful - he came upstairs immediately and fixed the blinds for us. Besides that our stay here was fantastic and we highly recommend staying here.

Perfect for people on extended business stay.
It was difficult to check in remotely. Perhaps Wilde Aparthotels doesn't recognize people trying to do this from foreign countries? My stay was for a week, and while it was nice to have a good-sized room with a fully stocked kitchen, the seating and table where I needed to work was, in the first case, uncomfortable and, in the second case way too small. Loved the linens (high quality) and the staf was unfailingly polite.
