Good hotel with really nice staff. WiFi was pretty bad. I think if the WiFi is sorted this will be a much better hotel. Staff were very friendly and the rooms were clean.
We chose this hotel to spend a bit more on during our trip, and were happy with the experience. The transformer across as the road blew up during our stay, so the air con we had paid for was useless for part of it. We realize it wasn’t their fault, and the generator kept the lights and fan working so it was all good.
We also thought that the room was supposed to be cleaned throughout our stay, which wasn’t the case.
The staff was great, the hotel was clean and good to stay at. definitely recommend!
Great place, easy to find and the tricycle drivers all seemed to know it. The water isn’t “hot” as the ad says, though it is slightly warmed by solar power. Overall we really enjoyed our stay
Room was generally clean with fresh beddings daily. Location is P50 tricycle away from the town proper. Nice places to eat within the area. Accommodating staff. Generally a more quiet area compared to the town proper. Choose to stay here if you wish people wont be able to reach you by phone or email.
Hotel is the nicest compared to surrounding hotels
Staff was very helpful and friendly. They were able to book our transportation using the Expedia messaging (how one can communicate with them instead of calling, they respond very fast) .. only bad thing is the wifi doesn't work at all.. we have been to Cebu City Boracay Palawan And now Oslob, the wifi will hardly work anywhere . They are always making sure hotel is swept and clean. Showers have no hot water ,but it is solar . Let me tell you, with the heat in El Nido, you wouldn't want a hot shower anyway. No bugs in hotel unless you leave your room door open of coarse.. bug spray is a must.. you can easily rent a motorbike next door for the whole day in the morning and return it by 10 pm. TIP rent a motorbike .. go to las Cabañas beach to do zip lining and go back into town and have brunch.. you will have your own transportation the whole time. AMAZING staff good hotel !
above average for a lodging house. friendly and helpful staffs.

Don't expect too much
It was just OK. We stayed on the ground floor so we had to keep our curtain closed all the time because the windows were facing the reception area so other guests could see in our room.
No hot showers when there is no sun because hot water runs on solar system (all budget lodges are like that in El Nido)
Almost no Wi-Fi (which is everywhere in the whole el Nido) so it's handy to get a local sim card (with local simcard you will only get reception outside the lodge)
A certain distance from town proper, about 5-10 min ride on tricycle (only 50 peso per ride to and from town) but I would stay in town next time it would be way more convenient especially at night time when the road is quite dark.
The staff are OK, not super helpful but they can help with basic things. Room is clean and tidy

Two star hotel
Never had hot or even warm water ..they kept explaining this as solar hot water. Very basic room . Nothing in bathroom other than toilet cistern to place anything . Nothing in shower to hold anything even the soap. Wifi very poor but this seems common in the area.Airconditioner did work well but ceiling fan only worked on high speed & very loose in the ceiling so wobbled badly

Hotel for night stay
Room is nice and clean but we requested for the room with balcony and we didn't get it. Otherwise, the place is only good for night stay to rest and sleep. Wifi is slow and only located in first floor. Staff were nice and helpful.
Expensive tiny room, little hot water, useless wfi
Poor value for money. Not in a good location and not well appointed, but not cheap either. The 3.8 rating is ridiculous and invalidated by recommendation rating of around 50%.

Weak wifi, you need to bring ur own toiletries, staff friendly and clean room
A bit of a disaster. The pick up from El Nido airport was messed up - despite reconfirming the day before they 'forgot' to send the car. After a number of messages (lucky I had a signal) a car arrived after over an hour waiting in the rain.
Wifi was two personal routers that rarely connected in the lobby area. They did loan me one for one night and that worked fine as I could reset it every few minutes and the connection worked for a short time. I found it was better to get a SMART SIM card (no Globe signal) and use one of their data packages.
Every morning we were woken at 8am sharp by walls being hammered by workmen. When we complained they suggested talking to the workman rather than offering to help. Sure - this is a short term problem but their attitude was poor.
Loads of mid range restaurant/bars in the area, many looked newly opened. However the beach area was filthy with seaweed and general waste.
The positives - on every floor there was Nescafé instant coffee and Lipton tea, have as many as you want. The television had a good selection of clear cable channels (however the screen in room 12 had a line down the middle where it was broken). They organised the tours efficiently and offered discounts. Generally they were friendly and the lobby arranged was pleasant.
I wouldn't stay here again but I'd be interested to see how things improve when the upgrades are complete.
The Staff:
The staff was friendly and helpful when we wanted to change our reservation and rooms. Personally, I preferred the friendliness and willingness to help of the night staff over the day staff.
The Room:
The rooms are small but satisfactory since we spent all day on tours. I checked out three different rooms and all the bathrooms smell like mold or dirty cleaning supplies. The rooms on the second floor have a small (single person size) patio for smoking but I wish they had drapes so people from the street cannot see into your room.
Cash Only:
I wish they would accept credit card for payment (or at least better advertised that early on) because we had to go to the atm 30 minutes before our 3am shuttle. Such a hassle and felt a little unsafe pulling out a lot of cash in the middle of the night.
No shuttle service for early flights:
If you have a early flight (9am) in Puerto princesa, you'll have to book a private shuttle (additional $100 or 5,000 pesos) because the hotel shuttle service begins at 4:30am.
Location:
I liked that the location was a little further from the hustle and bustle of the main town, but we had to pay 50 pesos each way to get to our tours, have dinner, or check out the bars.
The room was very clean and spacious. The staff were extremely helpful and accomodating to our needs. I would recommend this hotel to my friends with no hesitation
7 nights in June 2016 were very great.
Staff are very nice and helpful, clean room, nice view from the terrace.
Close to the town proper (5min in tricycle) and only 50pesos (1€)
Good restaurant infront Boodle fight! The owner is also very nice!
In fact that's the perfect hotel for affordable and comfortable holidays. Me, my girlfriend and my parents love this place!
I moved to this hotel after 4 nights in the main El Nido town - I wish I had moved here sooner. Much better value-for-money as compared to the expensive, small rooms in El Nido town - and tricycles are everywhere (and cheap) to get to and from the town when required. The location of Citrine was great for getting to Las Cabanas which was a great beach to spend a day or two at (as opposed to El Nido main beach which isn't great).
Service was great - the staff were very friendly. The room was clean and newly decorated, and the building itself was nice and new. I would recommend and I would stay again.
The Hotel was good staff are all friendly and nice they would tend to help you in anyway they can the hotel is located near the main street beach is just a footstep back of the hotel, price of the hotel is good value for the room that you are staying in, overall everything is nice and will definitely come back here and recommend this place to friends.....Thanks to you guys for doing a good job!!!
