This was our second time to the Riu. Everything is so accessible, beach, restaurants, activities. Great place to stay for kids. If you want to do excursions, speak to Daniel on the beach, he hooked us up on a fishing trip and we were able to bring the fish back to the resort to eat. Chef De La Cruz outdid himself and cooked the fish to perfection, best I’ve ever had. The staff at Riu are super nice and always willing to make your stay enjoyable. Me and my family thoroughly enjoyed our stay here! We stayed in the family room which was large and comfortable. The dining options were great, and lots of pools for the family. The beach was also a very nice and it was only a short walk from the pools. Looking forward to coming back!

The stay was great. The staff was amazing one evening I was not feeling well, I was sick, I traveled alone and I was Hungary. Therefore, I was too weak to get food, I called front desk to send me up food at first they reminded me that they do not provide that service but I plead with them that I am alone sick, hungry and they made an exception for me that was so kind of them and with that I would give them a 4star. They showed some compassion to me. The beach, there is no bar at the beach or close to the beach. The beach area is nothing to look at, it is just existing. I think they should try to make it more presentable and inviting. The merchants there were very friendly and encouraging to buy there stuff. Their stuff is very affordable it is not really over price. The pool is fun and you can enjoy some quit time because the facility is big.

Terrible worst RIU I ever stayed at canceled our transportation back to the airport without notice my party of 14 all had to pay for taxi. The maid that cleaned our room 4074 never swept the floor just made the bed and left towels no soap, shampoo etc. If the kids left a paper on the floor we would find it there when we returned. Front desk staff is rude especially Angel and Angie and a few more. Lets talk about the keys to get into the room many nights I had to go down stairs for them to come open the damn door. Seriously which hotel uses regular door keys and not the cards. Food salty and terrible all around. The only positive is Alan on the beach went on an amazing tour with them put a smile on everyones face. Massage on the beach from Rebecca best 45 dollars spent. Otherwise that particular RIU needs to be shut down.

Great family vacation hotel
The hotel is great. It is right on the beach so you have your choice of swimming and lounging at the pool or in the warm ocean waters. The multiple restaurants have good food, a super wide variety in the main buffet for breakfast and dinner. We stayed for 6 nights and can get monotonous since they don’t change the menu but still good. The Italian is the best specialty restaurant in our opinion and for many others based on the line to get in. You do need to get in line before opening if you want to ensure a table, especially on the weekends. The steakhouse was not very good, meat was tough and no flavor but watching the raccoons eat the leftovers was fun! Having a waterside park was great for our son and was a blast, a bit of a walk from the hotel but not too bad. It is next door to the eco adventure park where you can see local animals and go horseback riding or even go on a zip line. This is a great hotel for a family vacation.
