The staff is very professional and on top of things. They monitor who goes in and out, and make all guests register with their IDs. Unfortunately, you must pay $10 for a guest to visit your room. It is a place with plenty of young backpackers visiting Columbia from various countries. The setup of the common areas makes it hard to really get a complete hostel feeling, but I did meet some people. There are better hostels in El Poblado nd throughout Medellin for comparable prices.
They have a small fridge where you can buy drinks. There is a small kitchen area.
They have a variety of rooms, from dorms to minimal non-AC rooms without bathrooms to quite nice two-person rooms with frig, AC, and shower/bath. The latter are best. I was stuck with the last "minimal" room. It was sufficient, clean, but not too convenient.
