Property was good. TV reception in room was terrible. Talked to front desk, was told they couldn’t do anything and would have to inform manager. Never heard back. Strange as it was cable? No offer to fix tv or change rooms. Even after showing a video of the reception.

Staff was exceptional and very responsive. Other than one night when construction workers were housed next door (they were vulgar and loud, fortunately they quieted down by 9:00 pm) the remaining time spent at the lodge was extremely quiet.

the room was dirty, jacuzzi tub did not work, ice machine was broken and they didn't even know norr did they know that right down stairs from the room was another one that did work. the breakfast buffet was WAY over priced and it was all frozen food run thru a micro wave. other than that...oh, yeah, and a creepy murder happen there in 1999?, and not a word was spoken.

The room was clean. However, these rooms do not come cheap so I was amazed that they don't offer wash cloths, and apparently can't afford to install toliet paper holders, it just sits on the counter. My daughter was in another room and had to pack all her stuff back up and move to a different room when she had no hot water. Restaurant is only open 3 hours for breakfast and 3 hours for dinner. I do not know if they offered lunch service. Staff was quite pleasant, which helped when dealing with the issues.

The Cedar Lodge was perfect for my boyfriend and I’s trip to Yosemite. It is so conveniently located you can’t beat it.

Great location outside of the National Park
Good location and price for a hotel outside of Yosemite National Park. Clean and spacious room with outside parking right in front of your room (if have a room downstairs). After a hot day of hiking and sightseeing, it was great to have a swim one of the outdoor pools (just get a towel from the front desk), but the indoor pool looked a bit old and dirty on the bottom. The Canyon Bar and Grill is right next door and offered a good selection of food which I ate at both nights I stayed at the lodge. The only downside was that I could hear every time my upstairs neighbour was walking around. The lodge's 'beach' area across the road was a nice surprise and lovely and cold for the feet after walking all day.

The hotel is close to the Yosemite entrance. Our room is spacious, quiet and facing the mountains. There are 2 restaurants, with one serving sandwiches and one diner type food. Overall it was a pleasant stay.

This is only one of two hotel options in El Portal, and it is excellent! Not only are the rooms clean, comfortable, spacious and modern, but there are two pools with hot tubs, a bar and grill, a restaurant, a gift shop AND mini mart on site. Excellent park access- 20 mins away.
