Mountain View is a brand new member of Premiere's carefully selected vacation rental properties. "Furnished to the nines" with ultra fine taste - Mountain View proudly shows an array of fine art, upscale furniture and furnishings. It stands unique as one of the very few vacation rental homes to have a pool table.

So named for its panoramic view of Taos Mountain from the Upper los Colonias Mesa between the town of Taos and the Taos Ski Valley. Enjoy this view from the open living area, kitchen, patio, hot tub, several of the bedrooms and the large adobe wall enclosed yard.

Located 4 miles from Taos Plaza, 14 miles to Taos Ski Valley and minutes to hiking trails. Enjoy shopping, restaurants, or hiking, biking, fishing and more in just minutes.

With 4 bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms, one sleeper sofa, Mountain View comfortably sleeps 12 people with plenty of living space left over. An Executive style master wing includes a very spacious bedroom with King bed and large bathroom with double sinks, jet tub, separate walk in shower and steam room. A second master bathroom comes equipped with a tub/shower combo. A third bathroom with shower only is shared between the two guest bedrooms and alcove.

Cooking and entertaining is a pleasure in the custom designed gourmet kitchen with adjacent wet bar. Fully furnished with upscale cookware including 2 coffee makers - one for regular and one for decaf, the outstanding kitchen will delight even the most passionate chef.

At the end of the day guests may star gaze while relaxing in the Hot Tub, play a game of pool by the kiva fireplace in the den/pool room. Sip your favorite beverage on the patio or simply relax by watching a movie or ball game on the 65 inch HD TV in the gracious open living area.

From the time you walk in the front door and say , “Wow!”, to the interesting, but subtle, curved architecture and all of the different amenities, Mountain View will provide you a comfortable, relaxing and pampered vacation with memories you won’t soon forget. Gorgeous property

So much space! Every bedroom except one has its own bathroom (one has a steam shower!). The billiards room with a fireplace was a huge hit and the kitchen was to die for. Nicely furnished and plenty of places to spread out and not be in each other’s way. Beds were comfy. Super quiet location

Perfect for our family

This home was perfect for our family Christmas trip to Taos. We are 4 couples and one 18-month old. The deciding factor was the dining table for eight and the hot tub and billiards room were a plus. The home was very well supplied w kitchen tools and basics. Great floor plan and nicely decorated. We would definitely stay here again.

We really enjoyed staying at this lovely, traditional New Mexico home. We were visiting for a family wedding in Taos and it was perfect for our family. I would have given a 5 star rating for this property, but we had a few issues. These issues were promptly attended to but they did take some time to resolve.

Great place for a group

Beautiful Taos views

The house had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We didn’t cook while there (too many restaurants where we wanted to eat!), but the kitchen would have had everything we needed had we wanted to cook. Plenty of room for our 5 adult and 2 children group. Some of us loved using the hot tub and enjoying the beautiful New Mexico star lit sky at night! Both the home and the property were lovely and we’d definitely choose it again!

Wonderful Property

We loved our stay at Mountain View. The neighborhood is quiet and close to activities. The house was beautiful with plenty of room for everyone to relax. We especially enjoyed the lovely mountain view from the back patio and watching hummingbirds feed on the garden plants. The house was clean, and the caretaker was very responsive. There were plenty of linens, the kitchen was well stocked, and all appliances were in good working order. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Mountain View and will be back!

Lovely visit

My family and I had a great time in this beautiful house. The house is exactly as described. Everyone commented on the beds being very comfortable. The check-in process could have been a tad easier in that the check-in instructions, including key location, could have been provided to us rather than us having to call. It was only a minor inconvenience. Overall, it was a truly lovely visit.

Our family consisting of 6 adults and two children had a wonderful time at this home. The home was as described with plenty of room for all of us. The neighborhood was quiet and serene and not too far from town. We will definitely stay here again.

Great Home for a Group

This home was perfect for a friends ski trip to Toas. We live in Denver and have stayed at our fair share of mountain houses and this one had really unique, hand crafted design elements that we loved. The home was also perfect for entertaining, big dinners, watching football and playing games. All of the beds were comfortable as well. I would highly recommend staying here!

Birthday bash

We had 7 adults and a large dog in this property, and had a companion property for 4 more adults nearby. It was very nice, spacious, well maintained, great front and back yards for the dog, and spectacular views out of every window in the home. Great location close in but not too close, away from traffic and bright lights. We would highly recommend this home- great for us!

Should Have Read Reviews

We booked this property primarily for the gourmet kitchen. We were informed day of arrival that the fridge was out of service. Looking at past reviews it has been out of commission for 7+ months. The stand-in fridge requires a journey through the house and into the garage to access. Definitely not a convenient detour. And definitely not acceptable to not be informed well in advance. The fridge was not the only amenity that did not work as advertised. Neither jets in the tubs work - another long-term unaddressed issue according to past reviews. The cleanliness left much to be desired. We found used masks in two of the rooms, a pair of glasses in another, and a crumpled sock in yet another. Both bathtubs had to be wiped down before use due to excessive hair left behind. The glass doors to the back patio and pool room had visible handprints when we arrived. The grass was not mowed and was higher than the bellies of our 15-pound malti-poos. Important rules (like the fact we needed a crate for our dogs when we left the house) weren’t disclosed until after we arrived and happened to read it in the guest book. Communication with the caretaker left a lot to be desired. The brief, clipped texts did not convey much hospitality. Instead we felt like we were an inconvenience and minimal communication was preferred - including the morning we had to navigate a power outage. Like I said - I should have read past reviews. Everything I’ve mentioned (with the exception of the uncut grass) has been brought up before. Which is unfortunate, because the house itself is hands-down a 5-star home. Absolutely stunning. If/when the other aspects of the experience get addressed, it would be a very desirable stay.

It is a beautiful house as advertised. However, the refrigerator in the kitchen was not working. I specifically asked if it would be operational before I booked the house and was told a new refrigerator would be delivered months in advance. It was not and I wasn’t notified. We had to use an old refrigerator in the garage. This was inconvenient and for a house at this price unacceptable.

Dirty - Indoor Fridge is broken

Pros: place is authentic, great views, and large. Cons: I contact the caretaker on the morning of arrival as requested and she said the “indoor fridge is on the fritz”, but in all actuality it is not working at all. I contacted management they said, “ It is a 42" wide unit which needed to be special ordered. The deliver time is up to 6 weeks which your dates do not fall into.” So garage fridge hall to the kitchen all stay…boo. Disappointed in management for not listing issue on that on listing, since they knew the fridge will be out of use for all renters for over a month. Next, the house was really dirty, hair on the shower walls, dirt on the floor, cooked bacon left in the oven from who knows when. We were unable to use the fireplaces, which is listed as an amenity. There is a note requesting to not use, not sure if it is broken or just saving propane/gas/electricity. Sad as after skiing you want to relax by the fire looking out over the mountains. Hot tub fits 4 adults comfortably, small for the large house. Management was notified of all issues and they made no attempt to make it right. I would confirm fridge and fireplace are back up and running before booking.

Incredible place broken fridge

This stay was overall pretty great. The house is plenty big. 12 people fit perfectly and were not cramped at all. It has a gorgeous view in a quiet neighborhood. The caretaker was a little short responding and didn’t provide much detail, but was helpful with returning the key at the end of our stay. The refrigerator in the kitchen was broken and did not keep temperature. Thankfully there was another refrigerator in the garage that worked. It is not listed anywhere on the VRBO site or contract, but if you read the care book at the house it says you may not use the garage to park in. Also I recommend reading through the care book before you check out as there are a lot of instructions as to how the place must be left. Overall a great stay, but with the refrigerator worked.
