Place was clean and very nice. Very comfortable space. The complaint I have is they obviously changed the breakfast that all the reviews raved about. It was not good. Stale pastries and hard boiled eggs that had a weird taste to them.

Highly recommend Tygart Hotel in Elkins, WV. Roomy room, large TV, very good breakfast with lots of options including amazing Donuts from a local shop (though not really a hot food bar), convenient to walk to train depot for a 4-hr train ride to Cheat Falls, walk to restaurants, friendly and helpful staff. Small town ambiance at its best!

Clean & friendly BUT THE POOL IS NOT IN THEIR BUILDING YOU HAVE TO GO TO THE YMCA DOWN THERE STREET that was the whole reason I got this room because it was next to train ride & the rest of our time we were going to hang out by pool with some mix drinks from the bar…. THAT DID NOT HAPPEN

The only problem we had the refrigerator didn't work reported it no one fixed it and when we went to YMCA for the pool we couldn't swim they was having private lessons. They need coordinate with them better.

This hotel was quite a surprise. Wonderful, modern, beautifully appointed with all the nice touches. The breakfast was wonderful, and we really enjoyed the covered & enclosed front porch for having breakfast outdoors. It was so nice that we are already discussing reasons to return to the area, just so we can stay there again! I should also mention that the cost surprisingly moderate for such a fine establishment. A splendid time is guaranteed for all!!
