Quirky boutique hotel on a main street in Elkins. Adequate parking behind the hotel in a gravel lot with access to the hotel. Check-in staff was friendly and efficient. Our room on the 6th floor was near the elevator but quiet. It came with amenities and extra towels. The usual sort of breakfast was included and served on the bar off the lobby. Check out was easy. The window in our bathroom did not close all the way and it was cold inside and out. The bar/restaurant off the lobby did not seem to be financially linked to the hotel; although we did not use the restaurant. Our stay was brief, but we liked the hotel atmosphere and location.

The best and most unique hotel in Elkins, where the options are limited to lower and mid tier chains. They have a popular bar and a good restaurant. The free breakfast buffet could be a lot better.

The hotel upgrades were beautiful and tasteful preserving the history of the hotel. The morning desk staff on Monday was extremely friendly and loved hearing about the history of the town. I would definitely recommend this to others

Place was clean and very nice. Very comfortable space. The complaint I have is they obviously changed the breakfast that all the reviews raved about. It was not good. Stale pastries and hard boiled eggs that had a weird taste to them.

Highly recommend Tygart Hotel in Elkins, WV. Roomy room, large TV, very good breakfast with lots of options including amazing Donuts from a local shop (though not really a hot food bar), convenient to walk to train depot for a 4-hr train ride to Cheat Falls, walk to restaurants, friendly and helpful staff. Small town ambiance at its best!
