The room was clean including bead spread and drapes. There were stains on the carpet but there were no tears or holes. There was no odors. The staff which we only saw one guy, he wasn’t overly friendly in that he never made eye contact and never smiled. He was efficient but did not chit chat or offer any information about the area. The room seemed like it had old furniture but it worked. The pool looked very inviting my grandson had a great time enjoying it. Overall for 1 nights stay it was convenient and worked out well for us.

Surprisingly Nice Motel
I must say I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the Thunderbird. As an older, less expensive motel downtown, I was expecting it to be pretty run-down and basic. Instead, the room had been updated with a large flat-screen TV and the nicest refrigerator-freezer I have had in any hotel. The freezers are usually too tiny to be of any use, but not in this case. The room also had a table and chairs and a desk. The reservation listed a continental breakfast, which usually means cold packaged muffins and milk or juice. I was again surprised to see that they offered more, including a waffle maker. I would definitely stay there again.

Check in was swift, staff was nice (somewhat timid), free breakfast was typical, but good. The room was as clean as expected, but there was no properly working dispenser in the shower (there was shampoo but no conditioner and no soap offered). If we didn't have our own, we would have ended up having to buy from a store. For a one-night stay, it was okay. We got some good sleep.

Pretty good place for the money. The room was clean except for a small stain in the tub, that’s why it got 4 instead of 5 stars. Breakfast was decent- choice of microwaveable sandwiches, waffles or cereal.
