No respect
Not the fault of the hotel but people have no respect for others. This couple checked in at 2:15 am and were talking loudly and laughing while unpacking their vehicle, a few feet from people sleeping, or rather, trying to sleep. Also don’t appreciate much listening to dogs barking in other rooms.

It was okay. When they advertise breakfast included, that means coffee without lids and oatmeal packets and staff that ignores you.

Thanksgiving Day stay
The room was okay and bathroom was not in the best condition but okay. The bed and pillows were great. Parking was limited on our side of the building and required us to park in front and walk around each night

The Days Inn Encinitas Moonlight Beach is a great place to stay for Seniors on a limited budget. There are many good restaurants nearby, such as Peabody's, Serrano's, and the famous Leucadia Pizza.

A/C didn't work, maintenance man argued with me about it but couldn't speak English, replaced it with another old dirty unit and it didn't work properly either. Maid dumped out my trash can on the doorstep to go thru my trash for cans and bottles and left food crumbs right in front of my door, second maid or maintenance guy dumped dirty mop water off second story onto the back of my truck and told me "sorry I didn't see your truck" when I complained. truck was parked 8' from my front door. I was recovering from surgery and on a walker but needed ice, I called front desk to ask if ice machine on other side of property was working before I hobbled there and female told me no idea worked here 2 days but saw her there 4 days earlier at desk told me they didn't have a handicapped accessible room night 1 which is what I reserved then when I returned 2 nights later I had a HA room. I almost cancelled the stay which was a lot of stress. maids blocked the HA walkway between my room and the front desk with their carts and I had to go by while brushing up against dirty brooms ect, when going to ice or front lobby, they also ran the carts back and forth so much by my front door it sounded like a railroad. maids and maintenance did not speak English. No movies on demand TV and front desk claimed they didn't know if they had it or not upon inquiry. Ceiling had water damage and holes in it. Shower floor filthy. Furniture very wobbly. Smoking area to close to front door.

We stayed here for five days. The free breakfast was a brown bag with a breakfast sandwich a granola bar and some juice. No other choices. I am gluten intolerant so was not able to eat those breakfasts. I had to reset my card key at least once a day because it didn’t work. The cleaning staff was excellent!

Bug infested horrible rooms!
Our stay was so bad we left early and demanded refund! There were cockroaches in the room crawling on us while we slept and in the bathroom , the bathroom was horrible the shower curtain was dirty , holes in the wall cheaply repaired cocking all over the place looked filthy! The beds were hard and uncomfortable! The air conditioner did not work and we didn’t sleep for two nights because we were dripping in sweat? Had to have window open which I didn’t feel safe! I couldn’t get out of that hotel fast enough!
