What a cool place to stay! From the outside it’s a historic church, and inside it’s more like Pottery Barn. The high-arched ceilings of the great room make you believe in heaven. The huge Smart-TV, the comfy couches, the dining table, and the oversized kitchen counters all make this room the spot to spend your sabbatical. But if you need to sleep, there’s a tall king bed in the master, and two more smaller bedrooms upstairs in what was probably the old choir loft. The well-stocked bathroom and powder room feature modern fixtures. And in good weather, the fenced yard is wonderful, with a huge hot tub, and a pergola-covered table for outdoor meals or an evening glass of sacramental wine. The hosts offered quick, clear, and responsive communication, as well as extra touches like board games, a coffee bar, and dog-friendly features like beds, bowls, toys, and built-in gates.
The location is only about 3 blocks from downtown, with restaurants, shops, bars and ice cream, which makes for a nice walk, and offers great views of Mt Rainier.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to come back again. Highly recommended!
