Charming & Private Delaware Riverfront Home near Callicoon NY

Within 15 miles of charming Callicoon on the Delaware sits this totally private, tastefully furnished, renovated home with a fireplace/insert in the living room, a modern kitchen and a dining area with gorgeous river views! Windows provide great natural light and river views from porches and windows.

There are three bedrooms, one with a king size bed and two with a queen size bed each, plus a fourth room which owners now use as a TV/reading room with a comfortable day bed. Two full baths and a gorgeous outdoor patio/deck under great shade trees round out the picture.

Enjoy the Delaware River at your door step to swim, kayak, or fish. Don't forget to pack your life jackets for river activities. We do not provide boats or any other water apparatus, and recreation is at your own risk. There is a river outfitter in Hancock where you can rent kayaks and canoes.

A small convenience store is just a few miles away, and a short drive will take you to either Callicoon or Hancock for shopping, restaurants, library and movie theaters.

*****We offer a 10% discount if you stay for 7 nights. While we do not want your dog to have to go to a kennel and encourage you to bring the pup along, cleaning the house requires more time. The cleaning fee increases by $30.*****

Visit the Callicoon Farmer's Market year-round on Sundays, 11-2pm at Callicoon Creek Park and stock up on fresh produce, fruits, breads, pastries, and cheeses. The Bethel Woods Center for the Arts, the original site of the 1969 Woodstock Festival is just a 30 minute drive away. Or play a round of golf at the Villa Roma Resort in Callicoon or at the French Woods Golf Course less than a mile away on Route 97. Take a ride on The Upper Delaware Scenic Byway, which is Route 97, as it extends from Hancock to Port Jervis, and visit the Roebling Bridge and other historic places and museums along the way. Or spend an afternoon with a river guide and learn how to fly fish. There are nice hiking opportunities nearby. Get ready for the most striking views of the Delaware River Valley from famous Jensen's Ledges.

Summer camps such as French Woods Camp, IHC Camp, Camp Equinunk, Camp Blue Ridge, Tyler Hill Camp and others in northern Wayne County, are all within 5-10 miles or less, as is the lovely wedding venue, Handsome Hollow, on quaint Delaware Route 28 outside of Fishs Eddy, NY.

Beautiful property, communicative property management and owner. Fresh baked goods were at the house when we arrived and the owner called before dropping off more on the last full day. Only downside was the number of bugs coming into the bedrooms through the AC units.

This house was absolutely perfect for us! The three most important features for us were;** waterfront that we could swim, kayak, paddle board and play with our dogs** fenced yard so we could relax when our dogs were outside.** privacy, did not have other homes nearby, so didn’t have to worry about our dogs bothering neighbors. Obviously, the outdoors was key for our enjoyment of the property,but the house itself was wonderful!So much was provided for us to use in this well equipped home! The view from inside house was spectacular, and the outside deck is spacious and comfortable. Comfortable furniture and many amenities, like DVD player for movies we brought to watch in the evenings. Host easy to contact, and a baked item was left on kitchen counter to welcome us. Very positive experience!

This is a quaint house right on the river. The host is great and responds immediately. Unfortunately we had a storm that caused a power outage for 24 hours, but we made the best of it. We would definitely stay there again.

Peaceful getaway with the most amazing view!

Tubing and swimming with your pups right in the backyard with the most beautiful view, you can’t beat that! We loved our stay! Rosie and Joe are awesome and go above and beyond, we came home to a lovely surprise of baked goods! They also have the most comfortable beds, we all slept so good. We will be back for sure

Amazing mountain getaway

We had a very nice time at Joe and Rosie’s. They were very accommodating and went above and beyond dropping off delicious stickies buns during our stay and leaving fresh produce for us. They were very accommodating and great hosts, and the place is beautiful. We’d love to stay again.

River retreat

Five adults and one blind dog had a great time swimming and tubing in the river. The shady porch with rocking chairs and picnic table overlooking the water was lovely. Hosts were responsive and answered all our questions, and we enjoyed the delicious treats they provided.

The RIVER is wonderful!

If you love nature... this is the place for you... got in the river eveyday - paddle board, kayak, just swimming - water is very shallow by the house - so it was so easy to just get in. Everyday we were immersed in nature... bald eagles everywhere/ beavers/fawns..always something to see... the best was watching the fog lift off the water and over teh mountain every morning - really a great getaway!

Peaceful Retreat

We had a wonderful stay on the Delaware River. The home is lovely and the view of the river is breathtaking. We spent our days watching deer, geese and bald eagles. I am looking forward to returning soon.
