A great place to stay
Original and authentic historical hotel... With modern amenities but in keeping with the historic ambience. Excellent old town location with the town square across the street. Plenty of dining options, local artists, a creperie, and the old theatre very close by. The front desk lady was great! We'll definitely stay again!

The property is an older hotel with older hotel charm. It was very clean in the rooms but there were signs of wear and its age. The plaza in front is amazing but there were some homeless people at the park.

We loved being able to walk to the Crabs game. Also went up to McKinleyville and enjoyed the Club swimming pool access that was provided with our stay.

Unique and beautiful for its time. Staff was not inviting or knowledgeable of surrounding businesses or communities. Breakfast was lacking variety. Homeless people tended to be at the plaza and around the hotel.

I love an older hotel for its nostalgic feel. This one has that. Of course with the older hotels, comes a few draw backs. The room i occupied was directly over the restaurant below. It’s quite noisy until later hours. The room itself feels clean and cozy however. I’m not sure about downtime Arcata area for a solo female traveler. No one bothered me but there were many folks sleeping in the park across the street.

Cute hotel right downtown. But old fashion rooms and building but very lovely. And the windows in the rooms open! Rare and much appreciated in a hotel these days.
