Something about this hotel has a really lovely vibe. The decor is very pleasing on the eye in both the rooms and common parts. It’s a little bit quirky without going over the top. The staff are attentive, professional and polite!

Nice hotel, stayed for wife’s birthday. However we didn’t get any sleep due to noise until 3am, for breakfast coffee was very weak, croissants all old and stale

The hotel and room were both excellent. Unfortunately, the quality of the 3rd bed in our room was hugely disappointing. It was saggy, too soft and very uncomfortable. The hotel staff replaced the original one when we complained but there was little or no improvement. The room we had (511) had a sofa. Perhaps consider a sofa bed in this style of room. All other aspects of our stay were excellent.

Lovely hotel in a great location in Exeter. The rooms and decor were excellent and a really comfy bed and pillows. The food however wasn’t great. We waited over 1 hour for our dinner on Friday evening and had ordered a medium steak which was ok but not great as slightly over cooked. My daughter and I were both hungry from a long drive so didn’t complain and ate the meal. We were looking forward to breakfast the next morning but were both disappointed as the restaurant seemed disorganised and staff seemed stressed. We waited for a table which we didn’t at all mind but when we were then shown to our table the waiter was struggling to find cutlery, coffee cups etc. He took my order for a coffee but when I received it I had to ask for milk and sugar S he had forgotten these. I then went to stir my coffee but had no teaspoon so in the end my daughter went to find one. They forgot to bring us over the menus so bad to then request this and then chase again for them to take our order. Still a lovely hotel to stay at in Exeter but may be better to eat elsewhere as the hotel restaurant could be better managed / organised.

A shame, used to better.
Usually have a fab stay here but my room this time was very tired and dirty in places which I did tell management but never heard back. Also asked for a quiet room as I sleep very poorly and was put in a very busy location near a door and lift and the hotel definitely wasn’t full.

Gorgeous room but check for hidden costs if booking on a deal. The spa was an extra £20 per person per day & there was supplement for dinner when ordering a burger. Breakfast was tasty bur portions were very little. X

Everything was grand about this hotel and environment except that it was difficult to locate because you cannot drive to the hotel. You have to park at a nearby parkade and walk 4 mins on a pedestrian-only walkway. It's a piece of cake once you figure that out. The staff are amazing and the area is fun, even for a couple of seniors.

Really good stay, room was exceptional and impeccable in terms of cleanliness. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Only issue was the cost to use the spa was a lot given the level of facilities available.
