Absolutely Beautiful!!!
This property is top notch and is a perfect "get-away" for a large group. We enjoyed many nights by the fire as well as sitting next to the river while we enjoyed our coffee in the mornings. The wildlife came to visit us everyday and we couldn't have asked for a better place to relax and unwind! Thanks for everything, Carolyn! Your house is amazing!

Amazing
This property is truly amazing. It is as advertised and is completely off the grid in the mountains which is exactly what we wanted. So many outdoor activities to do around the property. The river is beautiful and runs right through the backyard. The fire pit is the perfect gathering place for the group at night with plenty of nice chairs provided around the fire. We had an amazing trip. The off the grid living was easy to get used to. You just have to remember to turn off lights when u leave a room and start the generator if you want to use the appliances that draw significant power. There is a digital meter in the kitchen that tells you what the power level is at. If it drops below a certain level then just start the generator. The host was very responsive and answered any and all questions I had. All the beds were super comfortable! What a perfect place. All of us kept talking about what a dream it would be to have a place like this to escape to.

Great place to rest and relax and play.
We had a wonderful time. Campfire was great place to sit around with love ones and visit and relax. The river was amazing. I grew up coming to this area in the 70s and 80s coming back was so much more than I could have even imagined. Seeing the kids in our group experience and explore this area as I did as a kid was such a joy to me. Carolyn thank you so much for giving us this special opportunity to stay at your beautiful property. Lifetime memories were made.

Gateway to adventure
Excellent private comfortable compound. Access to trails, hot springs, valley bottoms , and mnt tops are just out the door. Lots of parking for everything from an RV to a mnt bike. We enjoyed having access to the garage as well to store and work on our motorcycles. Kitchen was well stocked with pretty much anything you’d need to cook with.

A perfect stay
Our group referenced the reviews of this property in order to prepare, and everything was as described. The location is beautiful, the kitchen is well stocked, and following the instructions allows for access to all appliances and amenities as described. We traveled a far distance with a pet and an infant and wanted for nothing throughout our stay. It was amazing.

Off the Grid Mountain Getaway
This place was one of the nicest places I’ve ever stayed at when traveling out west. If you are looking for a place to unwind and enjoy the back woods this is the place to go. My family and I spent the entire day sitting down by the river that runs behind the property and sitting out on the back porch. The home was equipped with games, fishing poles, and many more entertaining activities to keep you busy on your stay. My favorite activity was laying on the hammock reading a book! I would highly recommend staying here. Carolyn was very quick to respond to any questions we had. We loved this home!

Incredible Property
The house is very nice and well maintained, but the real reason for staying at this cabin is for the property which is located right on the Boise river with lots of room to play and plenty of space from any neighbors. The drive from Fairfield took about 50 minutes on a forest service road, but compared to most back country roads this one was very well maintained. The owners do a great job of providing all sorts of activities and games for all ages. The fire pit setup is fantastic and the power to the cabin all worked very well despite being solar/gas generator powered. I'd highly recommend this cabin to anyone that's looking to get away from the city for a few days. I assume we'll be going back again soon.

Off Grid Oasis
We stayed at this location for a week. My family flew in from WV to visit. The cabin is secluded and a hidden gem! It is right on the south fork of the Boise river (picturesque views). It was well stocked with supplies (including baby supplies - since we had two infants with us). It was interesting being off grid and solar power but we adapted and loved it! The owners had great communication and checked in frequently to make sure we were adapting to the solar power well! I would def recommend this cabin if you’re looking to get away from city life. It was very relaxing and much needed time with the family!

fantastic wilderness get away
The property was amazing. very clean and well stocked and there was so much to do right on the property. We enjoyed playing in the river outback as it was unseasonably hot during our stay. There were water squirters provided by the hosts that brought lots of laughs. They have provided all kinds of games that are fun for all ages as well as a variety of kids activity ideas including a rock painting kit and nature scavenger hunt. Great for family get aways. plenty to do. nice quiet area. We would definitely love to return!

Wonderful property
Took our family on a short vacation in the wildernesses and would book this location again! The property was gorgeous! Clean, updated and comfortable! For us, it was the little things that made the biggest impressions. The children’s area in the loft, including a nature scavenger hunt put together by the owner, toys in the toy box, the squirt toys in the bucket by the river all made for a great time for the littlest ones with us. The metal scrabble board with magnet tiles on the patio saw some great matches! So many extras made our time so enjoyable! It takes a little getting used to living off the grid , but it was made easier by the user friendly instructions. Check in and check out instructions were easy to follow. Thank you to the owners for sharing such a beautiful, fun, and relaxing environment.

Another great getaway!
This was our second stay at the property and it was just as wonderful as our first, last summer. The cabin was clean and well supplied. The owners were exceedingly responsive and accomodating for us during our stay. We used the bunkhouse above the garage and had plenty of room to spread out, enjoying comfortable beds for everyone. The weather was insanely hot in Boise and only slightly less so in the mountains, but the cabin stayed surprisingly cool throughout the day by following the owner's instructions for closing and opening it each morning and night. We loved exploring the numerous trails nearby, either by UTV or on foot. Three of the adults hiked to Goat Lake and explored some abandoned mines along the way. The kids spent hours splashing in the cool river during the hottest part of the day, grateful for the water guns and buckets that were supplied. The adults enjoyed the shade on the beautiful deck, while the serene sound of the river lulled more than one of them to a peaceful afternoon nap. The highlight of the visit this year, however, was the abundance of wildlife we encountered on our hikes and near the property. We had the good fortune to see many deer and even moose! This really is a slice of heaven right here in Idaho. We absolutely cannot wait to visit again!

Refreshing time
What a beautiful and unique cabin and location. The drive is very reasonable for such a location. The check in and bring up of the off the grid cabin was easy and well documented. The cabin was well stocked with all the essentials and had a ton of activities for all ages. There was a wonderful surprise of a lot of young kids toys in a toy box that kept my 4 year old busy. We had a great time and plenty of space for everyone to have a quiet corner or large areas for playing games together. There are a lot of cool areas to explore close by. Highly recommended for those that want to get away and unplug.

Little Piece of Paradise
If you want to have real getaway, this is the place to go. This is in the middle of the Sawtooth forest right beside a lively river. The current was really strong when we went but I do foresee this calming down enough to wade in later in the season. My 5 year old was never ever bored and yelled "bye cabin, i love you!" as we drove away. The home was well stocked, and had very comfortable beds, lots of seating and activities. You just have to be really aware about the energy consumption especially of you are using a lot of the kitchen appliances, just making sure the generator is on is key.
