Mountain Rim Retreat - Miles of Private Hiking & Biking Trails - Endless Views

Imagine waking up with views to the ocean atop a private mountain retreat and heading out to explore 52 acres of private hiking and biking trails. Look out on the private waterfall lagoon pool and sip coffee among acres of fruit and palm trees. Or enjoy the attached, indoor bouldering/yoga room before you start your day. In the evenings enjoy amazing sunsets while relaxing by the gas fire pit. This one bedroom (King Bed) plus loft (single bed) private guest house has a kitchenette, bathroom & yoga retreat with it's own private entrance. This guest house sleeps up to 4 guests (King bed sleeps 2, single bed in loft sleeps 1 and is only accessible through climbing wall, couch sleeps 1).

This is a secluded property, yet just 15 minutes off the freeway, less than a 25 minute car ride to Temecula Valley Wine Country and area casinos (Pala and Pechanga), a 30 minute ride to the San Diego Safari Park and 10 minutes to restaurants and shops. There are 10 steps to the front door of the guest house. Once in, there are 3 steps to access the main floor where the king bed is located. The yoga and boulder room is off of the main floor and has over 200 rock holds and multiple holds in the ceiling where ropes, swings and yoga silks are located. The yoga room has a large soft carpeted area that could be used to sleep several children. The single bed in the loft is accessed by the climbing holds (ladder can also be used - but is a bit less fun!). The 46 inch flat screen TV swivels and can be viewed from the king sized bed and loft, or from the sitting area and has Netflix and Amazon Prime movies. The kitchenette has a fridge and freezer, microwave, toaster oven, instahot (water comes out boiling- great for french pressed coffee and tea), and all the kitchen utensils need to make a meal. The large closet has plenty of storage with both shelves and hanging space. The bathroom has a rain head shower head in the shower/tub. Views from the guest house are the best around and on a clear day the ocean glows on the horizon.

Fantastic location, clean, phenomenal views and comfortable accommodations. Husband and I stayed while in town for a weekend getaway following a work trip. So glad that we found this gem. The pictures tell most of the story, but not all. This charming guest house offers views for tens of miles, and if you hike up to the peak behind the house, you can see the Pacific. The hike out from the outdoor living space is so cool, The multi level pools the fall from the top to the main pool are so peaceful and serene. The views from the huge outdoor patio area are just amazing. Watching the sunset followed by stargazing on lounges filled up our senses in the best way. Our host Mike was top shelf and was very accommodating. If you’re looking for a few nights away from the bustle and you want to get your hike o.n, this is your spot.

This property is a little oasis up in the hills. It was very clean and well decorated. The pool and deck provides a beautiful view. Mike is very attentive and the nicest guy. Very nice property and great views to the west. Mike our host was very responsive to any questions and needs. Stayed with a couple of other buddies and basically just enjoyed the pool and barbecue area because we were to exhausted to do anything else from 2 days of wine bottling for Faulkner Winery in Temecula. This place and the surrounding area is gorgeous. My daughter (8 yrs) could barely tear herself away from the amazing rock climbing room for long enough to eat; a really great amenity for moms who want to relax while their child is occupied and burning some energy off. Close enough to drive into Temecula if you want and far enough from everything to feel like you are really getting away. We had a great time and the owners were very helpful and nice. Super sweet welcome basket with trail mix for a hike. Will definitely be back.

Property is easy to get to. We loved the vaulted ceilings and especially the tide pools. There are some sour kumquats and pomegranites, very tasty. The trails were fun and if you are good with an ebike you can ride that. They were very accommodating and highly recommend. Thanks!

The House In The Clouds
This place is absolutely breathtaking! Everything about it from the views, the pool, the trails, even the house itself. Mike is super responsive and will help you in anyway he can. The property has so many fun things to do during your stay. The surrounding area is also gorgeous, from the wineries to local restaurants there’s something for everyone. If you’re a single couple like ourselves, a group of friends or even a small family this home is such a great find. Would definitely come back again by far some of my favorite memories ever made on my travels.
