This remote hideaway is off grid and allows for a peaceful retreat with a bubbling brook next to the structure and a stunning outdoor fire pit space to toast marshmallows at - s'more ingredients are provided! Perfect for all seasons with an indoor fireplace that creates a warm atmosphere on chillier nights and a cool stream for warm summer days! You are sure to be relaxed at this unique getaway!

The stream right next to the Toasted Marshmallow creates an incredibly peaceful setting for your entire vacation. This secluded property has lots of yard space and is surrounded by wooded acreage. Spend the afternoon exploring the outdoor buildings, then snuggling up for a good book in the on-site library! We have a feeling that the only problem that you will have during your stay is getting everyone back inside at the end of the day!

We love the environment, and are doing everything that we can to minimize our carbon footprint on this area. Here are a few ways that we are loving on the beautiful environment, and welcoming you to join us!
• We use high-quality, sustainable mattresses and linens
• We offer a drip coffee maker so that you can reduce your single-use pod disposable, while opting for a pot of coffee to eliminate waste!
• All of our toiletries are eco-friendly, clean products that come with reusable dispenser bags to eliminate waste.
• We use LED lighting throughout the home to minimize electricity usage. Thanks to the natural sunshine, you can soak in the sun that floods this home through all of the large windows, without using excessive home lightning during the day!

1. The Blue Ridge Parkway is located just 10 minutes from the Marshmallow! The parkway is a beautiful drive with incredible mountain views.
2. If you're an Andy Griffith fan, you should know that Mayberry is only 20 minutes away! Take a day trip to check out the town and visit all of the memorable sites from the show.
3. Briarpatch is a wonderful coffee shop located in Galax which is about a 20 minute drive.
4. If you are needing groceries, there is a Food Lion in Hillsville about 15 minutes away.
5. Gap Deli is one of the best place to grab some food in Fancy Gap!

Please Note:

1. PET FRIENDLY: We love your furry friends! A fee of $150 per dog must be paid BEFORE the guest arrival date. There is a max of 2 dogs on the property and a max weight of 50 lbs. per dog. Sorry, but no cats or exotic animals are allowed in the home. If evidence of an unapproved (or unpaid for) pet is located on the property, there will be a $400 non-refundable fine. Please clean up after your pet in the yard (bring your own doggy waste bags) and in the home. Additionally, any pet brought to the property must not be left unattended in the home. If they are left at the property alone, they will need to be kept in a pet crate.

2. NO SMOKING: Smoking is not allowed on the property. If any signs of smoking are documented, the renter agrees to pay a $200.00 / per day.

3. WATER FILTER - we do have a water filtration system for the home that is located in the laundry room right off of the master bedroom. Note, every couple of days the system has to reset and can cause a loud noise as it runs. The timing of this reset is unpredictable! Just be aware, that it may start up at any time.

4. There is a security camera located on the exterior of the home. It is recording 24/7, 365 days a year. There are no cameras inside of the home.

5. Due to the seclusion of the home, there is not service at the dome home, but there is Wi-Fi!

6. We offer complimentary 24/7 communication to ensure that your stay exceeds your expectations! Feel free to reach out to us day or night and we will provide you with a swift response!

7. There are NO LONG CHECK-OUT INSTRUCTIONS! We want for you to be able to fully enjoy every minute of your stay at The Toasted Marshmallow!
