If you go across the fjord to Salling, Jenle is worth a visit. You can also take the ferry to Fur, where you can end a day on the beautiful island with a visit to their brewery with a long line of exciting beers. Hvalpsund has been doing a lot for guests in the area for several years, including a playground and multi-activity area at the harbor, so feel free to leave the car behind. Spend the day in the nearest surroundings, and enjoy the sunset from the beautiful terraces and lawn of the house.
