Right off the train, very convenient access. Beautiful hotel and restaurants. The room decor was basic but comfortable. It took a bit to figure out the year (the radiator, not the wall control). Lovely having a balcony!

A wonderful location looking out over the Fjords. So easy to explore Flam and the Fjords. The staff were all lovely and helpful. A lovely old hotel.

The burger restaurant for dinner was wonderful -- you don't have to get the more expensive buffet dinner, and you will still dine well! Breakfast is fantastic. Our room had a view of the harbor and the fjord. Really, just lovely. And the staff couldn't have been nicer.

I really like this hotel but the rooms are just okay. Also had a not-so-great experience in the restaurant where a male server reached across my face to grab my empty bowl during breakfast. I wasn't sure if the rudeness was intentional but i didn't want to make a scene.

Nice hotel in beautiful setting
The hotel is very nice with excellent views and a very good breakfast. Prices are quite high but with little competition and the beautiful surrounding area it is to be expected.

Hotel is in an excellent and beautiful location. So near all you need for a relaxing stay. Comfortable and quiet. Our room ( booked several months in advance) was on the ground floor at the back of the hotel in a corner so our view of the spectacular scenery was limited unfortunately. This was a bit disappointing . Breakfast is self service and excellent. Huge choice.

The management needs to review their reservation process for the rooms and the restaurants. We reserved restaurant for dinner but later we are told, the guests before us decided to stay longer and we are told come back for another night
