“At One with the River” is an absolutely Stunning 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom riverfront cabin that can accommodate up to 6 guests, all on one level. It has 257 feet of river frontage on the South Fork of the New River with easy access into the river with stone steps. Go fishing, tubing or swimming in your own back yard!! Enjoy the fire pit by the river, too! We are located on Railroad Grade Road and less than 15 minutes or 7.2 miles from the Todd Mercantile and the River Girl Fishing where you can rent mountain bikes, learn how to fly fish, go tubing, kayaking and more!! Don't forget to visit Todd Community Preservation Organization for more information about Todd. Centrally located within 20 minutes between Boone and West Jefferson. Blowing Rock is approximately 35 minutes away.

If you want to indulge yourself and enjoy the luxuries of our cabin, this is the one!! We're sorry, but our home is not pet friendly. Maximum occupancy is 6 guests.

Main Floor: Our stunning home is on one level ranch style. So, no steps or climbing to worry about for easy access for everyone!! It has a fantastic layout with tall ceilings, open kitchen/dining/large living room. The flooring is porcelain tile, which looks like wood, throughout the entire home.

The luxurious modern gourmet kitchen features Frigidaire Professional Suite appliances with an extra, extra large fridge with ice/water dispenser, gas range, dishwasher and everything else needed to prepare your gourmet meal. The dining area can accommodate 6-8 guests.

The large living room has an extra large sectional real leather sofa with cup holders and reclining seats, a powered La-Z-Boy rocking/recliner chair. You can stay cozy with our quaint wood stove (wood not provided) on those chilly winter nights. Enjoy watching your favorite TV show on the large 65” curved HDTV as well.

The master bedroom features a large king size bed, En Suite bathroom with stand up shower with spa shower heads and pebble shower floors. This is true luxury at its finest!

There is a queen bedroom along with the 2nd bathroom with the same spa shower heads and pebble shower floors. The 3rd bedroom is located at the end of the hall with a set of bunk beds (twin over full).

Outside: You will enjoy spending quality time outside on our massive covered deck overlooking the South Fork of the New River and there is a gas grill on the deck as well. Enjoy making S’mores at our firepit while listening to the sounds of the river. You will have easy access to the river with stone steps leading from the bank into the river. Sit in the gazebo with your favorite book and enjoy the peaceful tranquility of the river and Mother Nature.

Don't take our word for it. Come and experience it yourself. You can't blame us if you don't want to leave!! The New River is purportedly the second oldest river in the world!!

2 night minimum for off peak season (sorry, NO 1 night rentals permitted)
3 night minimum for some holidays and the month of October
4 night minimum for the Thanksgiving holiday (Wednesday – Sunday)
7 night minimum for July 4th week and Christmas/New Year holidays

Important Notes:
***The cabin is access by state maintained paved roads. However, you it may be necessary to have 4X4 vehicles with tire chains during the winter months.
***The owners use outdoor surveillance cameras to ensure that their home remains safe. No cameras monitor the inside rooms of the home.
***There is no land-line phone in this cabin. Cell phone coverage is not guaranteed. The home does have WIFI so you may be able to call using WIFI calling.
***No Smoking inside the cabin
***Minimum age requirement is 25 years old

As you plan your trip to the mountains, please remember we do get rain, snow and some foggy days and occasional inconveniences which are out of our control. Winter weather in the Blue Ridge Mountains can occur from November through April. The majority of our homes are accessed by mountain roads which will be icy in winter weather. For the safety of you and your party, please be prepared to drive in snow and ice. This means 4-wheel drive/AWD, good tires and chains may be necessary. It is YOUR responsibility to be prepared for hazardous road conditions. There will be NO REFUNDS, allowances or date changes resulting from your negligence in this matter.

Nice cabin on the New River
My wife and I enjoyed an extended weekend in mid February at this home on New River. It was very spacious and would be very nice for a large family. It was a cold winter weekend so we did not use the porch but it was very large and would accommodate a lot of people to enjoy the activities surrounding the river out back. Would definitely recommend this property.

We have been going to the Fleetwood/Todd area every summer for the last 19 years. It is our favorite family vacation spot. We have rented many properties over the years and nothing compares to At One with the River. The porch was Amazing and Peaceful. This was the cleanest property we ever rented. Extremely well kept. Everything was in working order and there wasn’t anything we needed that was not there. Best furnished kitchen by far! The bathrooms both had awesome showers. The master bed was very comfortable but I was told that the other mattresses were not as comfortable. But that was the only complaint anyone had and even with that all unanimously voted best house hands down-book again! We will definitely plan to book here again for next year! And Stacey who manages the property was super helpful. This company takes pride in their properties and it shows. They also had a cool perk that allowed us a free adult pass to several attractions. Some of our group took advantage of this and went zip lining. I can’t say enough good things about this property and the management company that handles it. Just Amazing!

River front Getaway
House is in an excellent location. Not far from Blowing Rock, Boone and West Jefferson . The home was very clean and well kept. Yard was beautiful. Enjoyed the scenery and the wildlife. The pictures on the listing showed a mowed riverbank, however the grass was very tall and your only access to the river was by a narrow space that had rock steps. It would’ve been nice if the grass was cut at least by the steps a little more. Other than that we loved it and would love to come back!

Could not have found a better property!
This property was everything that was advertised. VERY spacious rooms, well-appointed kitchen with everything we needed to cook meals, VERY clean, and the river was right out the back door. We loved everything about it. The communication with the property managers was top notch. They told us everything we needed to know and even let us extend a day, with us asking pretty much last minute. I highly recommend this property and if we ever go back to that area, this house will be our first choice.

Cabin had more than enough room for the three of us. Newer construction, modern amenities. Had nicer kitchen/laundry appliances and showers than our own home. Expansive covered porch with lots of seating choices. Tranquil river running across the entirety of the back yard. Saw deer feeding on the far bank at dusk every evening. Paved roads. Not too far from nearby cities and a lot of tourist attractions. Thanks!

We always spend Labor Day with another couple who were our high school classmates. This year we all turned 65! We’re so busy during the week with our jobs and keeping grands that this weekend is always laid back. We did almost nothing. We brought a 4 person raft and put in upstream. We floated about an hour twice. Our husbands fished, the wives read. We cooked breakfast each morning in the amazing kitchen and went out in West Jefferson in the evening. Played cards at night. It was perfect. Would love to bring our 6 grands here if not for the person limit. We will be back! The porch is amazing. Add some kayaks for complete perfection.

Incredible home!
My husband and I took my parents here for their 58th wedding anniversary! It was perfect for them with limited steps and walk in showers which were beautiful and easy access for them. The home was spacious, very clean and comfortable! The back deck was HUGE!!! and the view incredible. It was entertaining to watch people on their tubes and canoes going down the river and watching the birds take care of the baby birds in the nest at the eave of the deck. It was so peaceful and relaxing and the time flew by! Also - the refrigerator/freezer is enormous making it easy to stock up on supplies. I do wish we could have taken our 7 lb hypo-allergenic dog with us-that was the only downside.

This is such a fantastic cabin!!!!!
The cabin was amazing! My family and I loved it! You will not regret renting this cabin! The only thing I would add is some blinds or curtains in the living room and kitchen. Other than that it was amazing!

The cabin was lovely and the deck was spectacular! My husband and I spent a lot of time out on the deck watching the river. It was just the two of us, but it would be a great place to come with another couple and even kids. The river is very close to the deck, perfect access. (The pictures don’t do it justice.) We would stay there again.

I am so busy at work right now, so I'm keeping this short, but please know I could type a novel, expressing how very much my family and I enjoyed the property and our stay. In fact, the MINUTE we arrived, my husband and I looked at each other, I said, "Oh my gosh, we need to stay longer," he immediately agreed, I contacted the property manager and BOOM! We extended our stay. I know it seems silly to point out a couch, but holyyyy moly, the luxury, leather sectional is HUGE and every seat reclines. Absolute Heaven. Movie time each evening, was pure magic, for our family. My heart almost hurts, thinking back on how much we loved our stay. I want to go back right now. Our family grew closer, we were calm, yet excited, had NO STRESS during the whole stay...I'm telling you, I could keep going and going and going. The place was immaculate. Not a speck of dirt or dust, no bugs (dead or alive), comfortable beds, wonderful kitchen appliances, and THE PORCH!!! And that glorious river! Just go. Book right now. Don't look further. Stay here. Then thank me later. Ha!

Well appointed cabin on the river
This cabin had a wonderful layout. It was all on one level making it perfect for small children or anyone with mobility challenges. The cabin was very well appointed with gourmet range and commercial size fridge. Beautiful lot on a river with large porch where we sat an enjoyed a family of deer frolicking. The beds and couch were very comfortable and we were a short drive from Boone. Everyone enjoyed the cabin and would stay again!

Love At One With the River!
We can't wait to return! The house is beautiful and spotless clean. This is a true cook's kitchen which we love! The river view is amazing. Would mention that if you have mobility issues, this is the perfect house. Easy access for everyone. The only thing missing was our fur babies. We do hope to return in the summer to take advantage of the awesome river access for some tubing!

We were looking for an escape during the pandemic where we could get a change of scenery somewhere we would enjoy just hanging out. Couldn’t have picked a better place. We spent long afternoons on the porch enjoying the view of the river. The kitchen was well set up for cooking meals (just be careful with the stove - it runs a bit hotter than normal). Management was super helpful when we had a small problem. Great way to get away for a week and enjoy nature!

Beautiful & convenient place. It had pocket doors which are a little hard to open and shut for elderly or weak people as well as the commercial grade refrigerator door. The refrigerator alarm went off every night multiple times and I had to get up and reset it. That was very annoying. Otherwise it was great. Comfortable beds & A/C. Easy access to river
