This stone house dates back to the 18th century and makes a beautiful impression with its traditional architectural style. Surrounded by meadows and oak forests, the cottage welcomes you in the middle of the valley of the Vézère. Look forward to a successful vacation in a rural and historical area of the Périgord Noir. The interior is comfortable and very cozy. You have a lovely terrace at your disposal, on which a pergola with vines and blue vine casts a pleasant shade, and on slightly cooler days you can make a fire in the fireplace. The bedrooms are located under the sloping roof and are accessible via a somewhat steep staircase. Adjacent to the garden, where you can relax in peace in between, sheep graze in an electrically fenced paddock. A small, unsecured pond completes the rural idyll. For safety reasons, you must always keep an eye on your children. You are left spoilt for choice: there are plenty of activity options in this magnificent region. The village of Les Eyzies-de-Tayac-Sireuil (9 km) has a natural history museum and the Font-de-Gaume cave, and at the local farmers' market in Rouffignac, 11 km away, you can buy regional products such as cheese, wines and foie gras for your meals. Likewise, stroll through the lovely town of Montignac (23 km) and experience the world-unique Lascaux Caves. The town center of Sarlat (31 km) impresses with old, beautifully preserved monuments and buildings that make your walk almost a journey back to the Middle Ages. With this vacation accommodation you will benefit in the best way from all the charm of the Dordogne.
