The hotel's location is absolutely perfect, just a 2-minute walk from the main train station Santa Maria Novella and 10-15 minutes from all major sightseeing spots. However, the positives end there.
Unfortunately, the staff were quite unfriendly. One can only hope they were locals, otherwise, it would be an absolute disgrace. The room door was difficult to lock, which was quite frustrating. The exterior of the building looks very rundown and unassuming. The bathroom was not particularly clean, which added to the overall disappointment.
On a positive note, the hotel's premises on the 1st and 2nd floors do not look rundown and the floors are secured with locks, which is reassuring. We didn't have breakfast included in our stay, so I can't comment on that. Ultimately, the price is only justified by the convenient location. If it weren't for that, I would not recommend staying here, especially if a good service is important for you.
