One of the most beautiful places I have stayed, and a great location for going shopping and exploring the city. Right on the canal, it’s pretty tough to beat. My friend and I got a suite and it was plenty of space and amenities.

We have stayed at this hotel before and chose to book again. We enjoyed our stay and the second room we were given was nice. However a main complaint would be the food at breakfast. The food served as consistently cold, we the eggs very cold every day and the beans. Apart from this is was an enjoyable stay.

Fantastic stay, very accommodating and the location couldn't be better positioned by the water near the town square. We celebrated our honeymoon there and we will definitely choose this location when we come back!

Hotel is in a high tourist area, but it’s not bad. Still pretty quiet and comfortable. The air conditioning went out at the hotel one of the days I was there so it was very hot and uncomfortable, especially since it was very hot outside. I would not suggest using the parking that they try to push on you because they do not communicate everything and did not tell me that the parking garage they are contracted with closes from midnight to 7:00am and my rental was stuck in the garage until the car rental company picked it up because they would not open it or let me get the car for my early morning flight. They will tell you that in case of emergency, there isn’t anything they can do and no solution. Use at your own risk.

The stay at Palazzo Alfieri was excellent. The only thing that has stopped me from giving it 5 stars is the fact that the bathrooms seemed to have been designed by tall men for even taller people only. The towel hooks were almost unreachable and the fixing for the shower head was probably above two metres so no chance of being able to shower without holding the shower head. Which in a hotel of this level and price range is somewhat disappointing. Equally the step into the bathtub/shower was so deep to make it almost unsafe when coming out of the shower. Besides that the room Was very very comfortable and the view on the river absolutely unforgettable.

The property is lovely although the bathrooms are so small there simply is no where to put anything. Maybe a small thing to some but our kettle didn’t work, we requested 4 times it be changed over 3 days and eventually got it changed but not before we were given excuses, including having to call at reception at 3am to request a new kettle after we had returned from a concert and no one would pick up our calls. All in all a beautiful hotel in a wonderful location but some staff could be spoken to about their communication styles with customers .

Historic building. Great location
Excellent location. This is a historic property, so several areas needed some work. There were a lot of construction workers in my building during weekdays. I imagine it will be nicer once everything gets fixed. My room had several moths, which I had to trap and take out of the room because I'm allergic. Still, the location is excellent and you can walk anywhere in the historic downtown area within minutes. The lobby area is nice and the property feels very safe. It has a nice private entrance and taxis can easily drop/pick you up.

WiFi Does Not Work
Hotel has terrible WiFi connection. Despite staying in a suite room with views of the river and Ponte Vecchio, the WiFi connection is absolutely horrendous. You’ll be kicked off the WiFi every 2 minutes and when you try to reconnect their WiFi won’t even show up. If you need internet access even for minor browsing, let alone work, would recommend not staying at this hotel.
