Grand property but is aging and needs furniture uplift. As this hotel was walkable to Valletta, this option offered us a much more cheaper eating option. The hotel provided good restaurants and options but was pricy. The staff was courteous and excellent. The Pool (indoor and outdoor) was in excellent. The location was great.

Lovely old world class with charm and great service in a dramatic location on the water’s edge in the historic center of Valletta. Great pool and private beach. Easy walks to tourist highlights and ferries.

Great hotel and pool. Excellent friendly and helpful staff. The food is good but restaurants could do with a children's menu which is available on room service but not in the restaurant, which is odd Quite a steep hill to get up with lots of steps to get to Valetta, so be aware of this. But the staff are always willing to arrange a taxi and there are complimentary cars twice a day. Overall a great place to stay

Despite the large number of patrons it never seemed full. I worried that we wouldn’t get a bed by pool but that was fine. Swimming in the sea/ estuary was refreshing, proximity to town was fantastic, if hilly! Staff were lovely and efficient, breakfast was varied and delicious.

Nice place, it’s a bit run down. We booked a presidential suite which had no AC in one of the rooms…they said they fixed it, but no one checked to see if what they fixed is actually working. We had to request a fun which kinda helped, but it was still a little hard to sleep. The TVs were not checked to see if they worked, yet we waited two hours to be checked in. They did compensate us, but after arguing with them. It should have been a given instead of resorting to arguing. I wanna thank the manager though, but her staff need additional training
