Nice room, tiny shower
Good clean hotel, good breakfast, nice people, reasonably priced, and maybe a 10 minute walk from train station. We have discovered that Italian hotel rooms sometimes have tiny showers but the "door" to this one needs re-thinking: a multi-fold contraption on two sides (three?) that can sort of be coerced into closing partway but not completely, and not without taking bites out of the already tiny shower space. Sort of cute in a well-meaning-but-frustrating sort of way. Otherwise the room and facilities are just fine. Plenty of nice towels provided [to mop up the bathroom floor...] : )

Foligno, worth a visit
We decided to stay in Foligno as a convenient jumping off point to Assisi, Perugia and other places nearby. But we discovered the city to be really delightful with a wonderful museum. Hotel Italia was literally yards from the main square, walkable to the train station and with a friendly, helpful staff and a wonderful restaurant just a step away. Highly recommended.
