Hotel is under construction, the pool is closed, and it would have been appropriate to notify guests about this when reservations were made. The room we stayed in was beautiful and appears to be newly remodeled, but we likely would not have booked if we knew the pool was closed.

Walked into a huge boat show and major remodeling of the hotel. No food at hotel had to go out into the boat show crowd for dinner. upgraded us to another suite just remodeled

Hotel has full refurbishment going on. However, are selling the rooms directly beneath the floors being refurbished, so the noise of these works was unbearable. After arguments and email to the management, they moved me higher up. No gym, no pool or outside area, breakfast in a small room whilst refurb is carried out. Daily room clean likely not to happen, and at best minimal.

The hotel was under construction during our stay and the pool was not accessible. The was a computer outage making it hard to order items from the dining area of Starbucks which was the only food available. The view was wonderful noise of construction was all day.

Pros and cons
Initially we booked with this hotel because we stayed here previously and loved it. When booking, we were reminded of the back entrance that lead to the hotel bar/pool and a short walk across the street to the beach. Pros: great location, clean, free room upgrades, washer/dryer access, free access to 2 beach chairs Cons: constant banging from construction, bar and pool closed due to renovation. This construction also blocked off the short walk across the street to the beach. All in all, had we known these amenities were closed, we would have booked somewhere else. But to be fair, once construction is completed we will plan another stay here- just not until then

Construction was not an issue, we didn’t hear a thing! They’re working on one floor at a time so it was nice and quiet. We stayed in an upgraded corner room view and it was beautiful! Pool was closed, but that didn’t matter as the beach was a one minute walk around back!

Not at all what we expected
Mandatory valet which is an added $60 they don’t tell you about until you get there. No pool (under construction) gym (under construction) Hotel being renovated did not know until we got there!
