Where to start… I have stays at other Sonder hotels and have loved it. This one… the valet parking was aweful, tight , staff was difficulr, asking the hotel for help with valet and was informed “they don’t work for us can’t do anything for you. They were having construction on site and did not inform the guest of the constant drilling sound all day long - the elevators were broken, not great having to talk down 3 flight of stairs with bad knees. Talk about noise… all day and and all night… if you are going to have a hotel for god sake insulate the floor properly so condones every single noise on the floor about me / it’s so bad - I wonder if the people above me were moving furniture around. Room doors are designed to slam shut. And finally - Sunday at 10:45am because of construction they triggered the fire alarm and yup “everyone evacuate” and then let the mayhem begine. The employee that worked the front desk was clueless and bless his heart had no idea what to do. Do not recommend stays here and was highly disappointed.

Our room was great & bed was actually comfortable! But, I can’t bring my water bottle to the beach? Dang. No towels for the beach available when I tried to go. And, lastly, can’t bring my own chair? And warning- it’s valet only. I missed that fine print.

The stay was enjoyable and the accommodations were better than the expectation (the expectation?: being on the beach we expected humid rooms that were sandy, and damp with obvious touch ups due to the beachy nature). We had very clean rooms that were updated with comfy, thick bedding. They even thought of providing a white noise machine if needed (as apparently some people don't like the sound of the ocean--LIKE WHAT) but seriously, no noise from the outside. The room setup and arrangement was unique. The layout, I mean, was different in that the kitchen area had a dining table that seats four and instead of a sofa and chair, there was 2 queen size beds in addition to a separate bedroom with a king size bed. This in no way is a negative, we loved the extra comforts. Even though the room was on the side of the building we still had a great view of the the most beautiful ocean scene ever. (We live 3 hours away so its not like we aren't used to the ocean so believe me when I say it was a beautiful scene). The common areas are prestine and the staff is ready to please at all times. The location is quaint and the privacy of the beach is lovely and never crowded. If there is a complaint it would be that the parking and valet is tight, however, if you play by the rules (or follow the directions) it is a quite simple process--they have resolved their small parking plight with a seamless process. For those that want to do it another way--you will be frustrated.

Access to elevator was always broken. Not ideal for people with disabilities since no rooms are set up on 1st floor. Parking is atrocious with tight spaces and very low ceilings. Mandatory valet charges upfront of $30/night. No free parking anywhere. Room floor was dirty and soggy from constant ac and heat moisture. Same goeswith hallways. Noise is unbearable since you can hear neighbors all around. Staff could use more training on etiquette, they are not paid to thonk...just robots.Only stayed ine night and cancelled the rest of my stay. It was just too confining inside and out.

I was so amazed at how all the employees were so happy, welcoming, easy to approach and friendly. I’m sure I will come back again and again.,.,, To have a place where you can feel like you’re home isn’t easy to find, but I did it here, My family and I had an amazing time. I highly recommend this place, you won’t regret it!!!!
