Great hotel close to the beach and restaurants. We stayed before boarding a cruise and it was very convenient. Stay are excellent and provided exceptional service. Rooftop pool was great

The people made my experience. Every single staff member I met was professional, kind, and welcoming. From front desk to the bar, I was especially impressed by the staff and the reason I return will be them because I tend to try new hotels but I was too impressed. Overhearing front desk work with other visitors with needs and complaints cemented my thought that I need to leave a review because the people working here are top notch in the hospitality profession.

Not what we were expecting
Stay was ok. Hotel is off beaten path, down a dark street. Not even close to the look of the resorts around it. That’s why price is so much cheaper. Hotel definitely needs some TLC. Tiles on floors are old and weathered, beds are not very comfortable and doors are hard to get deadbolt locked, unlocked. Out of adjustment. This was on the two rooms we had. Also hotel is pet friendly so watch out for land mines walking on dark street. Also parking is difficult. Can self park on street, but can only prepay 4 hours at a time for $4/hour. Must wake up in middle of night to add 4 more hours or car will be towed. So they encouraged to use valet offered by separate company outside their door. $47 for overnight thought that’s not much more than self park so went with it. Read fine print on disclosure afterwards. Not responsible for anything is basically what it said. Got in car next morning and checked over for damage, etc. Then later checked for $10 roll quarters for toll roads and it was gone. So they got our tips plus another 10. To stay in that area for that price it’d be ok, but don’t trust the thieves at the valet.

Must stay at Fort Lauderdale
This is a beautiful hotel, mut stay here if you want to enjoy the beach. The rooms are so nice. The location is also closed to the water taxi stop. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooftop pool has an outstanding view of the area and great spot to relax.

Kimpton Shorebreak
It started out not great when we came in at 2:30 am and was advised that parking was 47USD for the whole stay to then be told minutes after that it is actually per day. It was too late for us and after a long day of travel, it did not give me a great impression of the hotel. The decor is cute and trendy but some details show the age of the hotel and how it lacks attention. We never got two bottles of water a day as mentionned included in the resort fee and some days when they changed the towels, we did not get new ones. The floors in our bathroom was always dirty which is understandable due to the sand but still… the AC was extremely loud and the room was on ground floor where you can see people walking on the street day and night. On the positive note, the hotel is situated only a few meters away from the beach which is great, they offer coffee and water every morning in the lobby (although other Kimptons offer snacks which they didn’t) some of the hotel staff were so great, especially that lovely lady that greeted us every morning with a big smile. Thank you, you really made a big difference in our stay. Overall, We want to come back, however, I would not pay more than 250 CAD a night.

This is a super cute and clean hotel. The staff were lovely and helpful. The lady who cleaned out room was great. The rooms are clean, the property is nice. The complimentary water, tea and coffee were a nice touch. It's a short walk to the beach and other amenities. I'd definitely stay again.
